ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 The way she doesn't even have to worry about the chart peak of this song, since it's probably gonna peak inside the top 15 or even the top ten on Global Spotify when 1989 TV comes, provided she releases it in a less competitive week.
MusicBiz234 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 (edited) An 8 year old boring album track? guess she really is bigger than all our faves Style feat harry styles coming to end our lives Edited May 7, 2022 by MusicBiz234
Catch22 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 The way it was the second least streamed track on 1989 before the annoucement
Jude Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 That's amazing. Would have looked epic if it wasn't for the album bombs.
By the Water Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 I wasn’t expecting this level of smashery If only she wasn’t addicted to releasing whenever competition is at its highest

Beyonnaise Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 And this was the least popular album track on the original, 1989 will be f**king huge Blank Space will probably repeak at #1 I fear
Taylor fanboy Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 When Carolina debuts with less streams than This Love (Taylor’s Version) . She’ll be picked on as a legacy act.

So you can't imagine how shocked i am to see This Love's debut being 5x bigger than Hold My Hand's. Not only that but, This Love debut - 4,333,315 Hold My Hand first 4 days - 3,200,000 (including Friday numbers and MV boost) Either Spotify glitched or things are very different this decade. It wouldn't be "really shocking" at all given Amazon Prime's reach: It's even used in the trailer : I-I- Is the trailer trending right now? Is the promo for it just...THERE? The promotion is right there and let's not EVEN forget the proper FRIDAY release. Hold My Hand has a few retweet moments and it's not even used yet in ANY of the Top Gun trailers! Please do let me know in TWO days after it's released on a FRIDAY which you forgot to mention I also very MUCH am hoping the song outstreams Hold My Hand given that she's in the TOP TEN right now for most streamed artists With ALL OF THIS, if you report back anything LESS than 4x what Hold My Hand does I- Really surprised THIS is the comeback you had. Top Gun is MORE than three weeks out at the moment I type this out and Hold My Hand has nothing but an unconventional release data and Twitter mentions right now PLEASE let me know if it does OUTSTREAM THIS DECADE, Ms. FlatearthercollaboratorofthePASTdecade. Thank you to Amazon I guess! If the TENTH most streamed artist who released a song RIGHT on Friday and didn't waste its momentum with a Tuesday release couldn't outstream HMH, then... nnnnnnnn Please clinging to "B-b-but they used Beautiful Ghosts and Spirit against us!" It was bad, really baaaad OT: Congrats and thanks for the tag, Ms. ArtistofthePASTdecade!

There are no excuses for a RE RECORDING of a 8 year old random album track to be outstreaming Lady GagA’s heavily promoted new song for a heavily promoted movie just take the L and move on. OP: only the biggest female artist of the 21st century, one that was able to make it past 2011 not everybody has that!

OP: only the biggest female artist of the 21st century, one that was able to make it past 2011 not everybody has that! This is the streaming age, sis. If Fleetwood Mac can have a 43 year old song go collect almost a billion streams off an impromptu TikTok trend, an old song CLEARLY marketed as a NEW release and with inclusion on NEW MUSIC FRIDAY with push and promotion from Amazon can obviously make numbers happen, lol. https://www.billboard.com/pro/fleetwood-mac-dream-biggest-streaming-week-ever-viral-tiktok-video/ Show me where Hold My Hand is used in those Top Gun trailers. I'll wait. Unless the logic here is, see Dr. Strange, see trailer, look up Top Gun: Maverick AFTER the movie, see a result for Hold My Hand and THEN stream Hold My Hand Little different from having the song RIGHT there in the trailer! Let's not EVEN talk about the initial playlisting of both BESIDES the momentum boost of a Friday release...but I'll let you figure out that out But, you know...cLoCkeD Don't worry, I don't actually post too often, tagged or not, so when this gets boring again, I'll be gone quicker than before! OT: Thanks for the insightful response. I would prefer Speak Now to be next but I guess 1989 was too perfect given summer's coming up.

Still hoping for a 10-minute version of Enchanted Despite 15M more Spotify playlist reach and Music Video boost, Hold My Hand failed to get 1/4 of This Love's streams yesterday. Why? And yeah, Taylor is the second most streamed (and 10th most in monthly listeners) artist in the world because she still has the demand for that. Not every artist left behind in the past decade and some artists are still relevant enough to keep up in this decade's AOTD race. Time to accept and move on. Edited May 7, 2022 by Artistofthedecade
