Xtinas career maybe is the same as shakiras career 1991-1999.

in 2001 shakira was already on another level and that’s not even counting 05’s La Tortura 06’s HDL and 10’s Waka Waka or 16’s chantaje

Why are you setting up Christina like that?

Shakiras PD and DELL? May not have sold as much as CA/Stripped but they’re more impactful in the Latin music world

Xtina was more successful than Shakira in the 90s but thats it. Ever since whenever wherever came out in 2001 Shakira has been bigger

I love Xtina and I feel like her prime era felt bigger than Shakira’s, however I feel like Shakira got this in the bag because she managed to remain more relevant and with more hits throughout the decades.

I can’t believe some uk people are saying Xtina lmao, yeah Stripped was a big album but genuinely shakiras hits are more remembered here. Go to the rest of Europe and they’d laugh (even more so than most reasonable people here too). Anyone saying Xtina is biased or from the USA (and clearly doesn’t know much about the global music scene)

There is like 17 people out of almost 150 votes who said Christina :rip: that’s not much of a debate at all lmao

Let’s celebrate Shakira and BEP getting a U.S. radio hit with “Don’t You Worry” — all without leaving her home and while avoiding prison. :clap3:

I feel like Loba/She Wolf is more iconic than any solo Xtina song alone tbh, and it’s far from Shakira’s biggest hit.

…so that’s that! :clap3:

Xtina did the Halftime in the year 2000. Very early into her career unlike Shak.

Exactly easier to forget lol ?

Anyway, why are these threads on a monthly basis now ? Is that an opportunity to throw stats ? Cause even people throwing #1 this #1 that it will always be the one that can still chart despite it being #1 or the one that can tour globally sell out arenas and stadiums just her and her band no dancers, lazy AF yes, but still loved globally. most importantly, the one that moved into the streaming era effortlessly. El dorado says hi.

good luck to xtina booking her pride events and calling them sold out. I mean love me some xtina, but not even the strap on helped with that lol

The infamous Shakira, the only girlie that has two nations tracking her across international water. Truly an icon of infamy. Her son even tried to slow her down by hitting her so hard, her leg gave out. He was a plant for the Middle Eastern debt collector, however slippy, youthful and flexible Shakira escaped. The Spanish Police were hot on her trail, however, her trail went cold in Mexico.

Wherever could she be? Who is gonna catch her? Is she the more successful? Yes

You’re mentioning songs by Shakira that aren’t even solo lmao. Anyways Stripped outsold ever album by Shakira in the UK combined. Cheerio!

Whenever, Wherever and She Wolf are solo songs.

Shakira is still dominating global markets today, maybe not so much in the US anymore, but even here she’s getting great streams with all-Spanish songs. A legend. :falcon:
