Gaga hasn't released anything that absolutely BOMBED yet. The day she releases some solo work that doesn't debut at #1 and stays like 3-4 weeks on charts, yes, that day she will bomb hard.

Gaga's least successful studio album is Chromatica at ~1.2m units in the US. How the hell did any of her albums bomb? Bombing would be Smile and Witness type of numbers - not even scrapping Gold

 

"rely on soundtrack success" as if it's THAT easy to get a hit with a soundtrack   Ariana, your own fave Taylor, Billie, Beyonce, Rihanna and many other major popstars tried over the last couple of years and ALL failed miserably.

I was wrong to group both releases into one calculation since they came in different quarters, as I was actually referencing the numbers as of July 2019 (Spirit's release) which was just after the completion of Q2 at 108 million users. After Q3 they had 113, and even if we say they gained those 5 million extra in the first weeks of July 2019, that is still a factor of 160% which makes the first day streams of that song just nearly at 1 million after considering user inflation.

 

I don't think this is the best way to compare them, I'm just outlining how comparing flat numbers from years where the user base was significantly doesn't necessarily create the best conclusions.

where did I say it was a smash?  reading is a very good skill, maybe you should learn it 

 

I simply pointed out that the thread backfired as the attempt to say that HMH is a flop actually just ended up highlighting the fact that it out streamed their own fave's OST releases, sounds like a backfire to me  sorry that you're mad about it tho
