She is not :rip: at $1B she needs $500M to pass Madonna. There is no female act besides Adele who is able to earn that much in a single tour. Maybe Taylor ONLY IF she tours with a 360 stage in the US. And Madonna didn't retire so...

Exactly.

Taylor could do easily lol. She just need to tour in Asia, and she also could add SA and Europe, you can see how she sold 100k tickets in matter of hours on Brazil, she would not have any problem to do the same in Mexico, Argentina and Chile. And her Asian leg would be as a big as Divide tour

what a dumb post, wow. :rip:

If only... - then why isn't she doing it?

Hypothetical arguments are a little hard to sell. I could also claim, "if only" Madonna did a proper GH/farewell tour this would be a bigger tour than local Taylor could even dream of.

Because she doesn’t want lol. Are you slow? She wasn’t touring in Brazil until she decide to do it and sold out a Stadium twice. She always do short tours because she consider is enough. The previous post was talking about hypothetical honey, learn to read

452 shows in the last couple of years - yeah, sure as if she didn't try hard enough. :deadbanana4:

think whatever you want, but claiming it's just a matter of whether personally Taylor would want to be the #1 highest grossing or not, is simply not true. This way every fan base could claim the same.

It's nonsensical to compare grosses without accounting for inflation, just like it's nonsensical to claim 'Suicide Squad' was more popular than 'Jurassic Park' (it's over it in raw grosses, but far behind once adjusted for inflation).

It's likely no one will catch up Madonna because no one has had such a long career as a global hitmaker and major global touring act. Madonna had almost 30 years of uninterrupted global hits, which had the effect of consolidating her previous fanbase while adding new younger fans with each period of time. It's why Sticky & Sweet is comfortably at #1 (and far ahead when you adjust for inflation); at that point she was BOTH a legendary iconic act with nostalgic fans AND a current hitmaker competing with the new girls on the charts. That's so hard to accomplish. Beyonce would need to be getting hit after hit with practically every single she releases until the end of this decade to really grow a solid Gen Z and Gen Alpha fanbase the way Madonna acquired millennial gays in the mid/late 2000s thanks to the likes of Hung Up and 4 Minutes.

Good for Madonna though but Beyoncé had proven herself since 2011; that's over a decade ago that she didn't need any hit to stay relevant.

What set Beyoncé apart from her pop contemporaries is that she had practiced herself not to be too reliable with hits and radio smashes. Well, her hardwork paid off. She hasn't relied on hits ever since (look at Katy once her radio power decline). In fact, TMCWS, FWT, OTR1&2 tours sold out without needing new album and hits. Even her Coachella, Glastonbury and Superbowl only consisted a few smash hits but turn out to be a huge evens.

Not every fanbase's fave has the touring power of Taylor, that's the difference.

And only 140 of these shows happened in the last 10 years.

Well, then I'm more than happy to postpone this conversation to when Taylor ACTUALLY and not just imaginary beats the record.

I'm not sure Beyoncé would need "hit after hit with practically every single she releases until the end of this decade" in order to grow her Gen Z fanbase in order to have big selling tours. Realistically all she'd need is a couple of them, like the example you gave with Madonna, who didn't require a decade of non-stop hits in order to get a millennial fanbase.

Not to mention, Madonna isn't the only touring model with which to compare Beyoncé. Tina Turner is also a huge touring force, albeit not as massive as Madonna, but one who really hadn't had WW hits since the mid-1980s but still had tours that grossed between $160-200 million in today's dollars in 2008 and 2000 respectively.

And as someone had pointed out, Beyoncé has gone about a decade "without hits"/sabotaging her hits yet each era she puts out music that impacts culture in some way. She really doesn't need a full decade of non-stop hits to continue being a touring act. When you're a performing legend, whether or not you're on the radio at the moment isn't what is going to sell tickets.

Hasn't Bey already proven herself to be popular enough with the younger crowd. Songs like Perfect and Mi Gente Remixes (although already upcoming and popular) added her to attract a bigger audience and it worked. That will reflect her tour gross and Im sure her upcoming tour will be massive (probably next year?)

everyone saying Taylor or Bey will take over number one but u forget Madonna still can do stadiums LOL

and we haven't even seen a farewell tour from her

so no it'll be a good time before anyone takes over number one

Lol, Beyonce is gonna literally shatter records when she tours again. Cause she damn sure aint dropping new music of her own. :deadbanana2:

And were not even talking about her tours in the future as a legend act when shes no longer even dropping music.

She is the end game #1, not Taylor or Madonna.

Beyoncé has the second highest gross after Madonna yet people on ATRL DARE to argue she’s not a legend and over since 2008 :ahh:bet they feel stupid right now

Britney's touring is pretty damn incredible - a shame so much of it wasn't really what she wanted to do. Sick how someone can be used to make over a hundred million bucks. :deadbanana: Thank god she's free.
