Katy's numbers are really good for a "radio artist" :clap3:

Madonna :clap3: and that's counting a theater tour and her old tours that barely had any profit.

Imagine if Who's That Girl Tour, Blond Ambition Tour and The Girlie Show had been done with nowadays money and how the market is right now :deadbanana4:

Christina Aguilera in Concert: $20M

Justified & Stripped: $30.2M

Stripped: $15M

Back to Basics: $75.1M

Liberation: $10M

Xperience: $7.7M

Thank you.

So as expected Stripped and Back to Basics Tours accounted for ~120M. :clap3:

Her first concert did fairly decent as well considering it was mainly a North American Tour.

I'd just throw in some 5-6M for the X Tour which was essentially pretty much a continuation of the Xperience residency.

Mte! 130,000 for one date, which was "France's largest concert audience ever"

:clap3: I don't think ATRLers realize just how big she was (and still is), tbh.

OT. Well done to all the others.

Taylor will tbh. Even if Madonna doesn't retire soon, Taylor is 30 years younger...Madonna will always retire sooner for obvious reasons.

Taylor doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.

To be honest, Beyoncé had a chance if she decided to visit Asia, South Africa, Brasil, Australia and New Zealand. She can already sell them tickets effortlessly in US & Europe (FWT visited only these two continents, remember?).

However, she released The Gift in 2019, which drew inspiration from Africa plus she performed at festival there, so touring there will be an easy feat for B. As for Asia, she seems to have chance to tour South Korea, Indonesia and The Philippines. But I won't cross out India and China as well. As for the rest, like Brasil, Australia and NZ, she definitely had 100% chance sold out. Not sure about Japan.

I know she'd probably hate the idea but a Greatest Hits tour to coincide with her biopic would bring in bank..

Nice numbers for most of the ladies, Madonna will probably be passed by Bey and for sure passed by Taylor but the fact that she's still pulling huge numbers at her age is a testament of her power :clap3:

Taylor’s coming for the top spot :clap3:

It’s much easier to have higher grosses these day bc wasn’t they selling tickets for like $20 and WTG tour was like $16?

Yep. Touring wasn’t big back in the days.

To be fair, Beyoncé is one (actual) world tour away from out-grossing her. So yes she absolutely can. :toofunny3: She just needs to stop stunting her tour dates and visit the countries that have been desperate for her to visit for a decade.

No, she´s not.

InflationM MUST be considered in this list. Every reliable source would do that, same with movies revenues.

Madonna is at 2.1B, far away from Beyoncé.

I think with inflation Madonna's figure doubles Bey's / Taylor's :rip: They would definitely need more than one tour. Maybe three or more if Madge continues touring herself.

And they talk about "possibilities" like if Madonna is retired or something :siptea:

tsk, that's why I always shake my head when some users say that B and X were truly rivals back in the day (and for overall, it's laughable)

I love Xtina but Britney was above her in probably everything..she may have gotten more scammys and US 1# (and we damn well know that the later's songs were more global)

ofc the Act who Everyone was excited to see at award shows (whose performances are STILL talked about) is gonna be bigger even there :dies:

She is not :rip: at $1B she needs $500M to pass Madonna. There is no female act besides Adele who is able to earn that much in a single tour. Maybe Taylor ONLY IF she tours with a 360 stage in the US. And Madonna didn't retire so...

Update Katy's numbers:

It's nonsensical to compare grosses without accounting for inflation, just like it's nonsensical to claim 'Suicide Squad' was more popular than 'Jurassic Park' (it's over it in raw grosses, but far behind once adjusted for inflation).

It's likely no one will catch up Madonna because no one has had such a long career as a global hitmaker and major global touring act. Madonna had almost 30 years of uninterrupted global hits, which had the effect of consolidating her previous fanbase while adding new younger fans with each period of time. It's why Sticky & Sweet is comfortably at #1 (and far ahead when you adjust for inflation); at that point she was BOTH a legendary iconic act with nostalgic fans AND a current hitmaker competing with the new girls on the charts. That's so hard to accomplish. Beyonce would need to be getting hit after hit with practically every single she releases until the end of this decade to really grow a solid Gen Z and Gen Alpha fanbase the way Madonna acquired millennial gays in the mid/late 2000s thanks to the likes of Hung Up and 4 Minutes.

Katy's #s are so embarrassing for someone with so many hits. Why aren't people running in droves to see her perform these so called "iconic" songs?!

The only embarrassing thing here is you.

Imagine thinking grossing $400M in only 3 global tours is "tragic" :deadbanana2:

It's $450M and that's completely feasible with a proper global tour. However people are right about the inflation aspect, so Madonna will remain at #1 for a very long time.
