Rev8 Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Britney is doing pretty well, for an artist from the 90s, peaking when Tours weren't as big as they were in the 10s decade (where most of the acts' gross came from I suppose?) but she was the biggest artist of her generation in Tours (BB had her only behind Cher,Celine and Madonna, in the Decade's Touring Acts) ((and she was in the Top25, with only old acts!)) Sad that the thread about biggest/weakest Touring acts:Britney/Justin/Xtina is hidden, since I could've quoted several ppl https://atrl.net/forums/topic/397420-britneychristinajustin-biggest-weakest-touring-force 2 minutes ago, Madonno said: Amazing list But inflation MUST to be considered in this kind of lists. Is not the same to gross 60M in the 80s that nowadays, everyone knows that. Is basic. Also true
Rodrighost Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Katy wasn't born rich so she knows not everyone can pay for overpriced tickets she really said NO to classism

It's gross per city is pretty damn good. Beautiful Garbage Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Will Beyoncé ever catch up with Madonna I wonder? I'm assuming Madonna isn't retiring anytime soon so it'll be interesting to see. Also Xtina pulling fairly decent numbers for someone who spent half her career without touring. Do we have an estimate of how much her first tour grossed in total? I assume the Back to Basics + Stripped Tours account for roughly 100 ~ 110 million altogether.

Even if Madonna doesn't retire soon, Taylor is 30 years younger...Madonna will always retire sooner for obvious reasons. Taylor doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.
JawBreaker Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 To think that Taylor did all that by the age 28 Its gonna be a bloodbath to get Taylor concert tickets next time I fear. The demand to see her in concert is INSANEEEEEE rn. Seeing her booking dates in countries shes never been before with Lover fest makes me think she was gearing up for an actual massive global tour next time.

I feel like Beyonce might have a shot as well? I remember her joint tour with JayZ doing pretty well as well (I think that was her last tour? Or the Formation one?) I'd love Madonna to do a farewell tour with her greatest hits though before she retires.

She might tour again but we have to see what Warner has under their sleeve to push her hard because her live reputation has been absolutely destroyed by her late starts and awful setlists if they want to market to younger generations that weren't exposed to her 00s repeak...I think that's going to be quite challenging. imo if she did a long farewell tour she could demolish everyone male or female but that won't happen because she thinks she's too young to be a legacy act

Her latest deal with Warner Bros is clearly focused on her legacy and not her new material as well. She's also working on her biopic. Everything she's working right now is about looking back. It IS stuff a legacy act does. I can see her doing a Greatest Hits tour after the biopic is out and the re-releases as well tbh.

As much as I admire her willingness to do regular MPG eras in her 60s, I'd break my legs to see her at a greatest hits tour

Tistotal Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 (edited) Katy's numbers are really good for a "radio artist" Madonna and that's counting a theater tour and her old tours that barely had any profit. Edited April 27, 2022 by Tistotal
