Severus Snape Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 Curious to know. I've recently discovered that its much better do DL on back day since its an exercise that puts weight on your spinal discs and when you do other exercised back after it helps de-compress the spine; like pull ups, etc. I used to do them on leg day this way I would do all the heavy lifting in one day but I was experimenting some back pinching, so I stopped DL for a couple months and now I'm back at it again for back days. Feels good. What about you? When do you deadlift?
St. Charles Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 On back day, but then I do Romanian Deadlifts on leg day.
JohnWayneHolland Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 There are actually two versions of DL, one that works more your back and another one that works more your femoral.
Oxy Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 I stopped using heavy weights, the right way is EMS, it grew my muscle in 25 minutes with 4 sessions only and without risking my back bone.

Goaty Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 back I can't imagine doing barbell squats and deadlifts in the same session
Gaia Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I don't do deadlifts at all anymore. A friend snapped his back doing them at university. Idk, don't think its worth the risk. When we did it, it was on leg day tho

Try it for 2 months and judge it.

After I became a Yoga teacher I realised the potential risks of doing dead lifts. It's really not worth it. Your backbone, especially your lower back, is fragile so ...
