Cleanromantic Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Keep it about the music. Better Discography and better songwriter between the two.
My Tears Ricochet Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Taylor sweetie.. Adele has the worst MPG discography out there
Cloröx Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Adele used to be great during 19 and 21 but the nosedive during 25 and 30 is very concerning, she's kinda lacking of motivation and inspiration
GraceRandolph Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Back in 2011, I would’ve said Adele. 21 was kind of that *****, and 19 had so much personality. But after two subpar albums in a row and Taylor continuing to release solid or great albums and Adele seemingly resting on her laurels and being hyped and praised for total mediocrity, I have to say Taylor cleans the floor with the English rose.
State of Grace. Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) Taylor can do Rolling In The Deep, Someone Like You, Hello, Easy On ME! but Adele cannot do All Too Well, Blank Space, Style, Out of the Woods, Trouble, Wildest Dreams, State of Grace, etc etc and let's not get started on Taylor's VERSATILITY and slaying with 3 different genres Edited April 22, 2022 by State of Grace.
BGXKB Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) Taylor by nautical miles of water under dusty old bridges. Edited April 22, 2022 by BGXKB
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Lmao what. I dont like both but TAYLOR's discography is much more impressive. The only thing Adele has over Tay is Vocals and thats it. Taylor wins everything else. Better music, much more committed and hard working, better song writer, better vision and artistry, more creative and diverse, etc.
Filpo Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Taylor's discography till folklore/evermore is mostly in the mediocre-really bad range, so Adele wins easily. Adele is not a songwriter, so the second question doesn't make sense.
xfreshkidxx Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Taylor....it will always be Taylor. Adele has great singles but her albums arent really good overall aside from 21.

GoodGuyGoneGhetto Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) Adele. ”21” is the biggest classic by a singular artist this century thus far. That alone demolishes whatever the other one has or will have, and all our faves for that matter. Edited April 22, 2022 by GoodGuyGoneGhetto
Badgalbriel Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Of course it is Taylor. Adele has 1 good album, 1 amazing album, 1 mediocre álbum and 1 bad bad bad album. Taylor's are all amazing.

But one classic album doesn’t save her when 2/4 of her output is just mediocre (at best) and Taylor has so much greater diversity and range.

I guess i've fallen into the Damon Albarn fallacy, given that there's no song solely written by her from 21 on and I've not finished to listen to 19 yet. Definetly Adele then! I'm not a fan of Taylor lyric style and the musicality and melodic taste is uncomparable.
Arrows Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 All of Adele’s albums are super boring and mediocre outside the singles (yes, including 21)
KillingYourCareer Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Adele's discography has a better DBTS ratio, but overall I prefer Taylor's

Slayyyyy Slayyyyy Slayyyyy Well… Some artists produce unequivocal, indisputable, GLOBAL classic albums. Others do not. I’m not sure why that has you so BOTHERED, especially considering “21” is also more of a classic than albums released by even my close, personal faves. Nonetheless, thank you for the compliments babe. Edited April 22, 2022 by GoodGuyGoneGhetto

Most of 19 is solo written/ composed anyways.

True. However, considering she’s only released 4 albums compared to the other girls 9, 50% of her output being great is a fantastic percentage in my opinion. Every artist has duds, some more than others, and not everything Adele releases is going to be magnificent. We know that.
