This won’t change anything. They’ll just release different versions like Nicki/69, BTS, and Taylor did.

Wait... didn't they ban mass buying like a few weeks ago? :what:

BoTS will find a way

also, they have to limit the allowed remixes.. cause BoTS will just release 20-30 remixes, same can be said with Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift Remixes

No limiting. Ban it from the charts. It counts all as the same song and that's that. If it's the same song for the chart then it's the same song for bulk buying. You can only buy the song once and have it count for the charts. It still counts for certification and that's that.

Nicki is going to be debuting in the bubbling under at this point :skull:

There's still a fairly easy way around this — all an artist has to do is release multiple versions with different UPCs/ISRCs. The song can even be the same, just slap a different cover on on it and give it a different code and the problem is kinda solved.

The hard part is as far as I know, there's no way for fans to know if two identical songs with different covers have the same or different UPCs/ISRCs, so stans that bulk buy just to help their fave chart high could potentially be wasting their money if they can't confirm this. :skull:

The even easier solution is artists just releasing multiple remixes/versions.

In conclusion...I don't think BTS is going anywhere from the charts, though their longevity is likely shot at this point unless they do the most releasing remixes as such. (Which they already do, but I mean even more of them,)

I honestly smell bullshit. There's no way the data they get from Nielsen is tracked with the credit card number, IP address, and/or name in the purchase.

Billboard may not receive this, but Nielsen / MRC does have this and can filter their reports to Billboard based on it. That’s how sales per customer/card are filtered today already; they're basically just lowering the limits.

now if you buy one copy of a digital single one week then that's the only time it counts for the chart at any point. The limit on one copy no longer resets after the tracking week ends.

Will this finally stop the bots?  :jonnycat:

Get ready for those 12 remixes per week  :toofunny3:
