She never was tho. The same way no one has been King of Pop since MJ. And tbh does she even have to be? She's dominating 2 industries that's more than being Queen of certain genre. :clap3:

"dominating"

:ahh:

The Mayan Calendar wasn't predicting the end of the world, but the end of Gaga's reign as the Queen of Pop, and the start of a new dystopian era.

When she failed to comeback to pop after Cheek to Cheek.

After The Fame:

Her ego was bloated.

Lost the team what propelled her.

She actually thought ArtPop was artistic.

BTW was annoying and messy.

Her aesthetics became gory and inconsistent.

If you ask anyone outside pop forums who is the queen of pop they will say Madonna, an artist momentaty success doesn't make them queen of pop or princess of pop. Madonna will always be queen of pop, mj king of pop and Britney princess of pop. End of/

She was never Queen of pop but she's managed to successfully transition to Hollywood, which is difficult to get not everybody has that

Was Gaga ever referred to as the QOP?
I only ever remember Madonna having that label. And people sometimes  calling Britney the princess of pop

Even if I google “Queen of Pop” all that comes up is Madonna

She was over once BTW (song) promotion campaign reached its climax. Later the fans tried to use the Judas MV drama as an excuse for her downfall.

i think this is one of the biggest reason of why she fell off. most of her success during tf+tfm was thanks to the team behind her. #thankyouakon

:sistrens: Lady gaga  Queen of pop?  the delusion....  the only Queens of Pop are  Madonna and Britney Spears  , keep pressed  little monsters

She never had that title.

Madonna is the one and only Queen Of Pop, no one else will be given that title.

she's still very much up there but think it stopped around artpop (i loved that album) but she was focusing more on her acting then music career!

but she already is a queen and nobody will top that, I went to a legends cafe in hawaii and had Elvis, Michael Jackson & Lady Gaga Look a likes! if shes up there with them, she isn't needed to stay on the top of pop music!

As much as I love the song, I think it’s safe to say that Applause was the first sign that the gp was no longer interested.

I think the jig was up somewhere around Born this Way. Her overbearing, theater kid true self came out as opposed to the cool, mysterious alien android of The Fame/Monster and the geepee nope'd out. The era had insane momentum but stalled out midway. It's not easy to keep attention for 10+ years in an area as volatile as pop music.

I think she started to lose me with the Alejandro video. I loved the Telephone video and remember being so excited for what she came up with next. Then that video came out and it really felt like she was just throwing everything at the wall and hoping that some of it would stick!

I liked quite a lot of tracks on Born This Way, but visually the era was so dark and ugly and over the top! I agree with the poster above: that was the point where the GP started to turn off in their droves... How else can you explain why an album campaign with such massive momentum managed to completely stall midway through?

The fact that the tour really struggled in certain markets, when it was clearly setup to be a runaway success says a lot too...

After her debut - but her peak was huge don't get me wrong.
