Favorite songs after my first full listen are N95 & Mirror :clap3: I also really like Die Hard, Father Time, Rich Spirit, & Silent Hill. The outro of Auntie Diaries is spectacular. I wish that production transitioned into & continued throughout the next track

We Cry Together has me on the floor :ahh:

I listened to that while I was showering this morning before work (hungover with a bloody nose) and it felt like the simulation was glitching :deadvision:

Glad I left during #that outrage. But I’m still obsessed with this album, better than DAMN forsure.

Definitely getting a tour tix.

this is a really nice album sonically but the fact that the only things people are talking about is him saying *** kinda indicates that he’s ran out of interesting things to say, which is a shame because his words were always what set him apart

society has sorta moved past the need for didactic music from rich people tbh

doesn’t that tell you more about the listeners than the artist

Great album and I like that he hasn't promoted it much or anything. Let it speak for itself.

People said physicals were coning into target today, but nothing.

No merch, album or vinyl preorders :noparty:

I will take some more time to digest the album but let me say that Die Hard is the hit. Send it to radio, playlists, everything

Kendrick Lamar:

- opens up about his traumas

- talks about being molested

- talks about his issues with his father

- talks about watching his mom get abused

- talks about ending generational curses

Twitter:

Mid. No bops. No replay value. Too many slow tracks.

Hate it here :rip:

oops :siptea:

i never understood the "no bops" accusations when DISC 1 is bops after bops yet people are clinging to the jazz-infused TPAB and DAMN. :rip:

i don't have coherent thoughts about this album yet / don't know how long it'll take for them to settle.

this is such a stupid take :deadbanana4:

the people upset about him saying *** don't listen to lyrics or deeper meaning at all, that's why they're upset about it in the first place

bluth

this album has so much going on lyrically, SO many important topics

Exactly :deadbanana:

It's not as instant as his other albums to me but I have only listened once but I really liked 4 songs a lot on 1st listen.

I'll give more listens.

Really? Cuz I'm not a fan of rap at all but this was instant for me. The production is next level.

Savior is dope! My favorite...for right now.

Purple Rain is great. Hearing Ghostface is pure nostalgia for me.

Mother I Sober is a lot, I'm not ready to unpack it yet.

Just listened to N95, and immediate banger, had it on repeat since, omg the beat is sick, actually the whole production. Might give the album a chance, impressed me a lot.

You the reason ******* start fuckin' with ******* when they change
You the reason ******* start callin' y'all ******* 'cause y'all useless
You the reason Harvey Weinstein had to see his conclusion
You the reason R. Kelly can't recognize that he's abusive

Man, shut the **** up, we all know you still playin' his music
Said I'm tired of these emotional-ass, ungrateful-ass *******
Fake innocent, fake feminist, stop pretendin'
Y'all sentiments ain't realer than what you defendin'
(Here he go, shut the **** up)
It's a split decision, broads like you and real victims (Look at you, look at you)
Let's talk the truth (Okay), women in general just can't get along (Explain, *****)
Hmm, when Tash got a man, you didn't pick up the phone (Explain, *****)
When Nate got a job, you said you stayin' home (Explain)
Why R&B ******* don't feature on each other songs then?

this is GOLD
