After all their losses, I too am surprised OTHs continue but their determination is commendable.

Didn't Adele hog up the vinyl factories for MONTHS to do millions of copies for "30" only for the album to basically underperform? Those vinyls are going to be discounted through the roof in time because of so many that haven't sold :rip: My Walmart is PACKED

No, Adele didn't Hog up the vinyl factories for MONTHS to do millions of copies for "30", because there had been vinyl production problems since the beginning of 2021 or earlier.

We can blame Ed Sheeran for the "Adele hogging all the vinyl factories" fake news.

Quote

Ed Sheeran told Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O about getting his recent album ‘=’ pressed: “So you have to do it like really upfront — and Adele had basically booked out all the vinyl factories, so we had to get a slot and get our album in there. It was like me, Coldplay, Adele, Taylor [Swift], ABBA, Elton [John]: all of us were trying to get our vinyl printed at the same time.”

But the problem started long before then.

Edit: Quote from the Dec 2021 BBC article here.

Quote

One report blamed Adele for further clogging up the world's vinyl plants with pre-orders for her new album, 30 - but her order of 500,000 records only accounted for 0.3% of the LPs pressed this year. (A bigger problem is that demand for vinyl outstrips manufacturing capacity by a factor of 2:1).

OT - they are pressed at any artist that is seen as a threat in any way, and for sales and Grammys, that's Adele.

I'm sure people have noticed who is usually starting the 30 is BOMBING threads we get every few weeks.

:clap3:Exactly! That user keeps repeating Adele hogged up all the vinyl factories, so I'm pleased someone posted this.

Not sure why the Swifties are so mad at Adele, when she's still very successful in her own lane, but the constant stream of hate threads on everything related to Adele and "30" is getting way out of hand. It wouldn't be so bad if the threads/comments were humorous, but it's all so drab, beige and vanilla.

Ed Sheeran‘s smug boasts to Australian radio last week, discussing his own ‘=’ album, back up the news of block booking of scarce pressing plants by major label name acts. “There’s like three vinyl factories in the world… so you have to do it like really upfront — and Adele had basically booked out all the vinyl factories, so we had to get a slot and get our album in there. It was like me, Coldplay, Adele, Taylor, ABBA, Elton (John), all of us were trying to get our vinyls printed at the same time.”
