i never watch these but i will be tuning in for the Cate x Michelle pairing... they have so much wisdom to share between them as two legends at the top of their game and who gave deserving performances. i hope to see both of them get their moment at the golden globes at the very least before the rest of awards season.

Empire Of Light has a 42% Rotten Tomatoes score so it's safe to say Olivia Colman is OUT of Lead Actress.

the Academy loves Colman and, despite the bad reviews, apparently Empire of Light has been getting good reactions in Academy screenings. i would not be surprised at all if Colman sneaks a nomination :santa:

This. She still gives an apparently stellar performance and has Searchlight behind her :santa:

 

And it's not like MargNO Robbing getting a pity nom for Babble On is really more appealing :santa:
