DanceAgain Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 (edited) Why do people have to pick out certain things to hate, Yes she absolutely deserved the Oscar nomination The Critics & industry agreed there the ones who put it out there, So why wouldnt she be upset about getting snubbed, they was huge buzz around her,that she was most certainly getting her first Oscar nomination for her supporting actress role, She was one of most nominated actresses that award season, as a actress or actor To be even nominated Is a absolute massive deal The Oscar is the most prestigious honour you can have, it was sad when it didn't happen it was finally her time, after years and years of dedication and her incredible work ethic seemed it was finally going to pay off people were happy for her and was rooting for her, but it didn't happen, She said, she felt like she personally "let everyone down"..The buzz surrounding her performance was huge even she started believing that maybe this could happen it overwhelmed her she wasn't used to type of praise, this is a women who has always been a easy target who was often scrutinized and mocked was told she can't sing, she can't act, she shouldn't do this she shouldn't do that but kept going regardless because it's her passion and she really loves what she does, she even says "all I want to do is entertain people, make them happy and smile once in a while and I want stay on that path I'll be ok". People didn't take her seriously and her work has been extremely overlooked and underrated, despite personal opinions Jennifer is extremely talented and the fact she can do it all extremely well seems to bother some people, she didn't get it handed to her, she worked so ******* hard to get were she is you simply cannot deny this women's dedication isn't admirable, It's always confusing why people hate on her she's one of the most influential role models in Hollywood, she embraces her roots, she embraces her curves and has always been vocal about how you should be happy with your body it doesn't matter what shape you are aslong as your happy then others negative opinions simple do not matter! She stands up and uses her platform to speak out for human rights, Equality etc, and The fact she's open and candid about the negative stuff like how she's has been mocked or scrutinized for things like people saying she can't sing, or act, I think is extremely admirable, She knows she has a responsibility and she's fully aware she inspires people around the world, That's why it's extremely important to her to show that despite all the **** she takes it shouldn't stop anyone for doing what they want and don't let negative opinions of others influence you, and you can do it all as small or as big as you want if you work hard and keep pushing through and stay focused anyone can do what they desire! but people choose to ignore what she has actually achieved and accomplished and the barriers she's smashed through, She's a ground breaker and There has never been anyone like her in Hollywood! The fact she's remained a Global Fixture in popular culture for over 25 years Is crazy, and the fact despite been close to 53 she's still doing the exact same thing she was 20-25 years ago is insane and her longevity and Starpower has never diminished it's only elevated her. People act like selling over 100 million records, grossing over $270 million in concerts, 25+ billion combined music streams, whilst having a $4 billion film gross isn't absolute massive, she's arguably one of the most successful entertainers in entertainment history! The massive success and recordbreaking achievement she has is unmatched! I won't even start with her insanely successful Fashion, Fragrance and beauty empire that has done over $8 billion in consumer sales... So to the ones that scrutinized or mocked or simply hated on her lost in the end, she always has the winning hand! One thing people need to learn is never underestimate JLo time and time again she's left the haters with egg on the faces! Jennifer is first and foremost intelligent, she's Smart and extremely Savvy, the amount of people that say when Jennifer wants it she gets it and she does it exactly how she intended it to be. She could have been talking to someone who was just comforting her about it; a familly member, her friend, her manager, who knows. We'll have to tune in to find out. Like this was a major point in her long ass acting career along with the Super Bowl, another highlight in her long ass music career. Both intertwined. Of course it hurt. But she clearly said in the trailer, that she realized that an award doesn't mean anything. Tbh the only good singers documentaries I’ve seen are the Madonna ones and the Katy one, all the others have been boring or weak and this could have the potential, let’s see if they play their cards right, imagine getting a nom for Best Documentary ?
