I WISH they could've gotten Nynaeve to do something with the One Power when they got to the top of the tower. Seeing Rand hurt or the blue Aes Sedai (honestly forgot her name) dead should probably take her over the emotional edge that she needs to surpass to channel. I know it makes sense that she didn't but I'm a sucker for these girl power moments in television lol

 

she's the most powerful non-Lanfear channeler alive and it would make sense for her to face Ishamael

That was an EPIC finale. So much stuff happened in an hour! 

 

Moghedien seems very interesting but I don't really see her snatching the Mother title from Lanfear. Speaking of Mothering, Moirane ATE sinking those ships, just when I thought she was sidelined 

 

The Whitecloak vs Seanchan conflict felt kinda random to me but it led to some great fight scenes

 

Nice to see the gang back together, wish they would just kill Nyneave off but otherwise a phenomenal episode

so what was y'all favorite episode this season? and favorite character from Two Rivers crew?

my fave episode from season 1 was episode 7. for season 2 it's definitely episode 6, the best of the show imo. such a gripping and tight episode from beginning to end.

i like all of them but they need to do something about Nynaeve, she's so rash and annoying for most of the show. a truly frustrating character. and Rand better thank Lanfear for elevating him. she did THAT. he would've been dead last again, we stan the glow up this season. I was worried for the Mat recast but they did a good job, the transition was seamless. Perrin is just an unproblematic teddy bear with a big heart, protect him at all cost

yeah they really need to give Nynaeve smth to do cause her character comes across so annoying

 

The finale was a gag. Moiraine looked like a deity sinking those ships. like she was mothering with that channeling and weaving 

 

 

I think Elayne will become a favourite next season, she has a lot of potential. Egwene doing what she did was kind of camp. I'm a scorpio I love a good revenge moment

My favourite episode from this season was whichever episode Nyneave went into the arches and died, I think 3 or 4?

 

1) Perrin, I love him although he didn't do much this season

2) Mat, agree with you, the transition between seasons was great and I love his growth

3) Egwene, I love her character and I would put her higher but the actress does this weird thing with her jaw and I can't stand it

4) Rand, you're totally right about Lanfear saving him because this character is teen angst personified for me. YAWN.

5) Nyneave, I have to hope they're making her character this unlikeable on purpose  all she does is complain and boss the other kids around, her superiority complex is way too much for someone who can't even make a basic weave from the One Power

Season 2 is so much better than Season 1, I'm glad Season 3 is already locked.

 

Lanfear was the highlight of this season for me along with Egwene, I did not care for Egwene in season 1.

Perrin is so boring to me, but his story has potential for the next season, especially with how he's constantly pissing off the whitecloaks

 

Lanfear and Moiraine carried this season, along with Egwene and Elayne. perched for S3, hopefully the quality stays similar to S2 or gets even better. i have faith in this show now, Flops of Power can't relate

Prime Video's making THREEEEE Age of Legends prequel movies the trilogy is being directed by Kari Skogland (she directed one of my favorite TV episodes ever, the s1 finale of The Handmaids' Tale) 

 

There's also an animated movie about the White Tower set a few centuries before the main story (apparently this was announced years ago but I found out just now )

 

So happy that Amazon is really investing in WoT. I just finished book 9 and it is absolutely my favorite universe. I'm already a third into book 10 and I started it yesterday lol

Everyone says that book 9 and 10 are the worst but I found book 9 to be one of my favs  it starts out kinda boring but when the Mat chapters hit>>>>>

 

I'm just missing Egwene but I know there are great things coming bc when Perin disappeared in Book 5, he was the best character in book 6

Just binged all of season 2 in two days. Such a fantastic season. Fully fleshed out characters and storylines. Seamless introductions and integrations of new characters. Loved it. 
 

Lanfear, Elayne, and Moraine all mothered. I’m always happy to watch and support a show that obliterates the Bechdel test.

wow did the second season work that well? i felt like they barely promoted it and it didn't even reach the #1 in my country like the first season did.

 

i hope that animated movie is like those animated shorts they did for S1

I finished the last book in two days a few weeks ago, and I just got over the grief of ending it  TWOT is THE best thing I've ever read in fantasy. Can't recommend it enough if any of you wants to read the entire thing.

 

Brandon Sanderson's writing in the last three boks is just superb. Honestly I thought nothing would top ASOIAF for me but this completely did. The ending is impeccable.
