Fevesy Posted June 22, 2023 Share Posted June 22, 2023 I have only played 1 hour post demo so immediate thoughts, no actual story spoilers Spoiler The sidequests feel like they just copied the MMO approach of fetch quests. I have this sinking feeling that they will take the classic FF14 formula (since same dev team) of super hype story moments then hours of feeding carrots to rabbits then hype story moment again. It really feels to me like dominant = straight and the insane obsession with this that causes the destruction of the world = homophobic FUCKS trying to further the destruction of our world. At the moment it feels quite guided in terms of its “exploration” aspect. I hope that develops a bit more so there’s more freedom in terms of choices. However, what I truly appreciate is the levelling scaling of the boss-ish fights. I already died once and I love it. Makes me reassess my strategy (I play without any of the helpful and assisting items). I personally hate games that feel too easy.
