I'm shocked to see how little insterest in this game there is. I know the FF brand has taken a hit over the last decade but the trailers Square Enix has released looked absolutely incredible

I will be buying but I didn’t really love  15

I feel like we aren’t seeing this game for a few more years

I'm interested, but the combat looks reminiscent of 15, which would be a terrible thing. So I'm also a little nervous. The story does seem better than 15, but the bar is also on the floor there :rip:

The story seems good so far, I always love when in video games there's factions/nations, tho in this one they aren't different routes ala FE3H. Graphics, cinematics, acting and story seems top notch so far, combat is what scares me. I never played XV, but I watched some clips and yeah it was bad so let's hope this one is better since new people have worked on it.

FFVII's combat was ok, although I have to say sometimes I wish they would have kept the turn based. I feel like they were the kings of it and had that whole niche and now Atlus has completely taken that for themselves and doing a great job at it.

The hype is not there for me either, just because I have been completely disgusted by FFXV...

And i never tried FFXIV which seems to be amazing but playing a second MMORPG would mean the end of my social life!

So I'm looking at FFXVI from afar, really hoping it will be a 180 from the franchise, and I'm pretty sure it will. It might even be the game that make me buy a PS5 (not feeling like waiting 1-2 years to get it on PC...).

I'm also confident the battle system will be good, since what they did with FF7 Remake seemed to have pleased a lot of people. A perfect mix between action and strategy!

I'm so impressed by the soundtrack Soken has made for this. I need this! I was playing Final Fantasy XIV while listening to the trailer over and over again. lmao

I am VERY excited after this 'State of Play' but I can't let myself be too into it because I am not gonna buy a PS5 this summer. I have to wait until it's available on PC... :jonny5:

Took that Thursday and Friday off of work to no-life this game for a few days before Pride weekend lmao

Excited about this.

I had my doubts about Yoshida leading since FFXIV might be critically acclaimed but the truth is it's very safe and has been predictable since 2015 in terms of gameplay.

The game looks like a serve from the trailers/gameplay. Soken will do an amazing job with the soundtrack too.

It's sad there's no major hype like previous mainline FF games. :emofish:

For me the realistic art style kills it. They should have pulled a FF9 art direction, it would have definitely sparked more hype after 20 years of realistic graphics.

Ugh if I had PS5 I’d be day one. I think I’m waiting for a Pro tho :/

Out this month!

The demo appeared on the PSN store but not available to download yet.

Pre-ordered the game last month.  I've seen less than a minute of gameplay, I don't know any other character except the protagonist and his name, don't have a clue about the story and won't be playing the demo. :celestial2:

Apparently the developers hinted yesterday that the story will have

Spoiler

4 time skips

Just finished playing the demo.  Already feels like a step up from FFXV so that's a win in my book :clap3:

I downloaded it earlier this morning, and played a lil bit of it before work.

But I like it so far. I’m probably gonna run through it again, but this game definitely seems to be much more deserving than the embarrassing mess that FF XV was. :clap3:

Honestly, that was one of the best openings to a video game ever. I kinda regret playing the demo now since it was such a slay that I am craving more and want to know what happens next. :clap3:
