A new teaser was released this week for HBO’s new teen drama starring Zendaya, Hunter Shafer, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi,  Storm Reid. It’s the US adaptation of the Israeli mini series of the same name.

It’s produced by A24, Drake and Future The Prince, all the episodes written by Sam Levinson (Assassination Nation/ Malcom and Marie), music by Labrinth.

The serie premiered june 16th, 2019

 

EDIT: Season 2 comes back on January 9.

That is not true.  She's absolutely superb in the show. Particularly the episode when she relapsed and went on a rampage against her mother and sister. That was outstanding work.

I disagree, I find her average and unconvincing in everything I’ve seen her in, which is why I said her acting is overrated.

 

Unless you’re serving Meryl Streep in Sophie’s Choice, then acting is subjective and people are allowed to have their own opinions. And before you bring up awards, again subjective, mediocre performances win all the time due to the actor’s status and/or the role they’re playing. 
 

See Laura Dern and Alicia Vikander’s Oscars as examples.

Overrated cachet for an overrated actress. Makes sense. 

 

but despite being so pushed in the media she doesn't have any new project to make after the guadagnino movie and dune sequel so i guess she tries to monetize the only thing really seems to work.

It will be interesting to see how the Guadagnino movie does.

 

She has yet to lead a successful movie on her own, even Euphoria is an ensemble so its success isn’t just due to her.

I don't think she can sell a movie. 

As you said acting is of course subjective but i have seen like 8K movies in my life from every country and every age. What I can say in 5 years she's gonna make maybe some Hulu miniseries as her most important release of the year. Such an average actress
