Liafen Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Mess at Tanya unintentionally dragging Portia like that. And the theory becoming true... I don't know if Tanya could comprehend the picture though with so much coke in her system. And whew the Ciao Ciao track!! I'm obsessed

I'm not mad either just appalled. That scene was gross. Hot young attractive guy banging weird old gay is not really enticing to me. Not shame but just open their eyes is all. Girl theyre not related. Their accents couldnt be more different. Any European can clock that bull from miles away. Plus people dont actually go around introducing their escorts as escorts.
Liafen Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Tanya waving down from the ship makes me think she'll be the killer overthrowing Greg or Uncle Gay

I hear they arent as nice to ethnic dark skins so someone lemme know if im wasting my time I was in Bari, southern Italy this summer on vacation and did some day trips. Its as culturally rich as you’d imagine but of course sex appeal is always turned to 11 on this kinda show. I was about to say i didn’t have any discriminatory encounters as a black guy but then there was this one time on the beach. I like to think of it as circumstantial more than anything. For the most part, locals were generally pliant. A lovely old woman saw me sweating bullets during a tour and gifted me a handcrafted fan.
zoldyck Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I loved Portia complaining ass being told she haven't seen the worst world has to offer.

I respect your opinion but I don’t really agree with this take. He lied to her about what happened that night to protect his (sociopathic, *******) friend, when she gave him multiple chances to come clean, told her she “should feel good about it” and got angry and yelled at her when she had her suspicions — and she or anyone would be an idiot to NOT be suspicious when finding a condom rapper and hearing about a Molly-fueled night with hookers. I don’t blame her at all for making him sweat and he absolutely deserves to feel what she felt.

Yeah, Ethan could've immediately volunteered the entire story even though his friend swore him to secrecy. But he probably knew that Harper wouldn't have believed him that he didn't cheat, and it's easier sometimes to just let the whole thing so undiscussed (we've all been there). Also, Harper never acts in good faith. If she was, she would've said right away "Hey, I found this condom wrapper in the sofa. Want to explain?" Instead of being cold and silent for days and asking vague questions to test him. Then when Ethan tells her everything and explains why he was afraid to tell her - she still tortures him for days, openly flirts with his friend and then intentionally leads him to believe that she ****** his friend just to psycho-torture him more. She is the kind of person who is always going to seek out the most negative take on any situation. She was being miserable and making Ethan suffer from the moment they arrived on the trip, before she had any "excuse." The writers draw a contrast to Daphne, who according to Harper is "fake" and has a "bad relationship" yet seems genuinely happy and is having a great time on vacation by focusing on the good parts of life and getting what she wants.

Theo James is STILL insanely hot. period.
Beyonnaise Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 (edited) Ugh I cannot stop thinking about this. One of my favorite shows ever and the best on TV right now, hands down. Mike White is so good at this, dropping little breadcrumbs of clues since the first few episodes that are now revealing a lot (Ethan feeling inferior to Cameron since college and watching him bang all the girls he liked, the gay guy's cowboy lover, etc.) I liked the first season a lot but it was more like entertainment at these silly rich people than full rapturous interest. There's way more layers to sink your teeth into with this one, I'm so drawn in to every storyline. Besides Aubrey I think the best acting performance is the grandfather (F. Murray Abraham), he was so good in the scene where he said "well there is no homecoming." You could see it on his face that the romanticized view of his Sicilian heritage all fell apart and his greater realization that he f**ked over the women in his life despite his intentions. I was dying at the scene of the old Italian lady with the artichoke, it was the perfect commentary on how some privileged Americans expect their long lost relatives to roll out the red carpet for them. She was a little restrained in this episode but Meghann Fahy is perfect too, Daphne seemed like such a vapid housewife at first but she has peeled back the onion so well without it seeming like a weird change of character. I have been reading the Reddit all morning, the theories are so interesting. Potentially spoilery ones: A lot of people keep going back to the master key that Valentina gave Mia. Some people have theorized that one of the deaths will mirror the first season, and that Lucia will use the key to get into Cameron's room and steal his money and Ethan will punch her, thinking it's Cameron. But then some people think Lucia is running a scheme that will get Albie/his dad killed. But then there's the grandfather and his head injury. I'm so interested to see. That’s very true. I’m probably siding with Harper because, at least in relationships, my worst trait is that I’m petty I’m usually a positive person and more Daphne-like but I have the tendency to want to make someone feel what I feel, so if my boyfriend lied to me like Ethan did, it would be difficult for me to forgive without settling the score in some way. I’m working on it She definitely was making the trip hell for Ethan and being unnecessarily rude/negative on a fancy trip, so I was Team Ethan until he lied to her and gaslit her into making her feel like she was being unreasonable for her suspicions/anger.
rN820 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Aubrey Plaza is killing it! this role is perfect for her and she deserves all the recognition come award season

Oh trust I struggle with that same level of petty in relationships I love a good passive-aggressive torture drawn out over days, it's absolute poison for relationships so I'm working on it...
chris1991 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I hope my boy Ethan doesn’t completely lose it! I’m not confident that he’ll be okay though, all the POC characters always seem to be screwed over in this series. Oop
Haus-Of_Mck Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Aubrey deserves all the awards Season finale looks insane
MadonnasBoyfriend Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I turned off that teaser in 10 seconds. They really gonna give all the info up for a 5 min trailer?
