The french prince chasing Cayetana the whole season and paying dust to Isadora just to realize he REALLY cares for Isadora at the end... That forced plot about Benjamin and Armando being in business together... The whole season felt cheap. The positive things were the fashion and the fact that they're good looking I guess... When watching the recaps of the first seasons and then comparing it to the latest season, it does feel like a whole new show in many aspects. The lack of old beloved characters (Nadia, Lucrecia, Polo, Carla, Guzmán), the show's overall tone/vibe is more campy, sexy, drugged up, dramatic. However, I also did enjoy this season a lot. Loved Caye's whole story arch this season, especially when she reached out to support Isa, despite their animosity. I personally didn't mind the Iván/Patrik/Cruz love storyline and I also get the drama in Mencía's and Rebe's relationship struggling to find trust and the right things to do being positioned between conflicting parties like they are. I didn't like any Omar related story arcs this season (Samu's/Omar's feud felt relatable, but non-eventful and the introduction of Bilal didn't bring anything new to the table, either - at least for this current season). Really hope Samu dies, though: a) He's the least interesting character out of the leads to me and b) with Ari surviving last season, it would be somewhat boring to have yet another character survive their murder again. Musicmajor Posted April 18, 2022 Share Posted April 18, 2022 I enjoyed this season far more than season 4. I think overall it was just stronger. I liked the two new characters as well. Rebe feels very much in limbo this season. Issadora initially I didn't care for but at the end I liked her. I think she will have a lot of character development in S6 if she comes back. Omar? What even was his storyline? That random thief friend of his… am I crazy? Did anything even happen with that? Patrick’s relationship seemed so rushed with Ivan and the new characters overall just weren’t introduced well. Storyline was like the same as season 1 with like bad parents and something needed to be stolen from them, blah blah blah. Ivan liking Ari out of nowhere was a choice too. I went back to read the comments here and everyone basically saying it’s soft core porn as well but this season was unwatchable imo. I basically watched it on 1.5 speed on my phone and had it on the mini player as I used my phone. why is there a murder mystery every season? Why can’t one season be like who pulled a Carrie on a fellow student? but I don’t think Samuel is dead. But maybe he’ll be in a coma or something I’m case the actor doesn’t come back. And also I think Cayetana is gone next season too? Wasn’t really paying attention. just patiently waiting for the season where all the OGs return so the events of season 3 is finally resolved. They should've ended this on season 4 or get a whole new cast for season 5. They wanted to make a crossover with two generations but it's messy.
