slw84 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I'm excited for the reunion. I know they are going to cut to Sutton constantly staying mute while the ladies corner Garcelle. Seriously if it isn't clear by now: This season was supposed to be team takedown Dorit now that she had beef with the HBIC Kyle. Erika played it smart and became the mediator between the two. Sutton went after Dorit. Garcelle kept her jabs at Dorit particularly in her confessionals. Sutton and Garcelle got so comfortable that Sutton let her slip show again (each season she shows her elitist side) and Garcelle figured it was time to rehash the robbery. I truly believe all the girls questioned it but were not DUMB enough to say. it on camera. Garcelle already received backlash for going after Dorit without a current issue but bringing up the robbery two seasons later was the jump the shark moment. PRODUCTIon could have easily cut that out because it didn't go anywhere. They were trying to make it a thing and then never did anything with it. Production threw Garcelle under the bus enough to make it uncomfortable for her and then all of the sudden she stopped having anti-Dorit confessionals and it was all about her targeting Kyle because she was mad at Sutton for salivating over Kyle. Boz there the wrench in the plans by giving Dorit a shot instead of taking shots at her (love Dorit but she IS an easy read and newbies know to go after her first). Erika saw the opportunity to strengthen her side and it became the new FoxForceFive: Kyle, Erika, Kathy, Dorit and Boz. I just wonder why production insisted on exposing Garcelle over something that didn't last but one scene. We never saw her comments about PK staging the robbery go back to the group so was it to show Garcelle in a bad light??? The reunion is going to show that Garcelle can dish it but can't take it. All her comments could be explained except the PK one. Was it Kyle or Sutton who set her up to make the comment like Rinna was with the Munchausen thing? 1

dman4life Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Going by the last episode it's clear Garcelle regrets being 100% team Sutton without giving the other ladies a fair shot. I understand her first year being the Denise takedown probably left a bad taste in her mouth with the other ladies but she still should have kept an open mind when she decided to return. Dorit and Erika are both easy reads so if Garcelle let them run her off then yeah it's definitely time to go. The rumors are Boz apparently had a go at Garcelle as well so I'm interested to see how it all unfolds. I really don't like how social media is acting like Boz had some obligation to stand up for Garcelle when Garcelle said out of her own mouth at the last reunion regarding Sutton accusing Annemarie of yelling "why do I have to say something you can stand up for yourself" or something like that. I understand Garcelle is a fan favorite but the double standards are annoying. 4

I completely forgot about the book incident until you all bought it up. That was too far. Books are personal. I Honestly think they have a separate group chat because they know they had to walk on eggshells with certain comments to avoid racism accusations. BH will always rebound. Remember how dull it got on season 4, 8 and 11. the thing about BH is that it's about LUXURY POXN so the players can change but we need: A wealthy wife who has it all (seemingly at least) A broke wife who wants people to think she has it all. An wealthy ex wife due to their husband's allowance serving wealth and shade A broke ex who has to fight her way to keep her spot. NONE Of these girls should get along entirely. In most real friend groups larger than three, there is always two that have an issue or are competitive or are shady and making others feel uncomfortable. We just need the fights to be over silly stuff and not dark personal jabs.

Garcelle unfortunately pandered to the audience which many have done throughout the franchise: Wendy and Candice (Potomac)/Tamra (OC)/Bethenney (NY)/Whitney (SLC) etc. She knew she could get Dorit on the "attack" term just like she tried to make Kyle look bad calling her out for not donating to Kyle's charity and the next season her first scene with Kyle was to say "as a black woman..." her getting the stigma of not paying her bills. Apples and Oranges but we were at an all time high in terms of racial sensitivity so Kyle couldn't do much. Positives: Garcelle is gorgeous and she did a good job clarifying and adding in comments in scenes much like a Cynthia/Kandi/Heather Dubrow would do to keep it going without going too shady. She seemed to be very fun and tried to be objective when the moments weren't about her. Negatives: What you mentioned and what I mentioned as well. She'll likely return in about two seasons but she needs to come back and correct her ways. 1

The girls are pushing that failed narrative because Boz gave Dorit a fair shot and they did not see Garcelle and Boz have much airtime together despite the fact that they were cool even though Garcelle tried to call Boz out once. They are also saying that Boz didn't support other black women in the workplace without a shred of evidence. The girls will not turn on Boz as she is too formidable. Erika is going to have a kii kii friend in Boz. Dorit is going to have someone who is fair to her. Kyle will have someone who she can get along well with. Sutton is the one who will have a hard time as Boz has already clocked her tea and Sutton is Sutton... what we love about Sutton is that she is an elite new money girl trying to act like she's old money who desperately wants acceptance because her money won't buy her congeniality. The girls will corner Sutton unless she submits at the reunion. Then they will get along and go after the new girl. I see Erika's trial, Dorit's divorce and Kyle's coming out as the main starters for the next season. Garcelle KNEW if she stayed she'd have to own her comments and get further away from the group in an island with Sutton. Garcelle also noticed the backlash she received for going after Dorit without a current issue and bringing up PK in the robbery situation from years ago. In two years, no one will remember and she will have a fresh return. By then, Kyle and Kathy will remain but how many more tricks will Erika be able to pull out of her hat. Dorit might extend herself with the Divorce and possible new romance but while she's MY fave on the show she's always one season away from a pink slip. Sutton is Sutton so unless they can find someone else like her she's secured on the show. Garcelle might return with Dorit but I doubt she'll return with Erika still there and Erika might only have a limited time left so Garcelle might just wait it out. I think Garcelle

She definitely must've been feeling some kind of way about however Kenya was treating her for weeks cause to be doing all that was real extra. She should have just brushed it off and kept it moving but she let herself be rattled waaay to easy.
