The Closer Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Slowly working my way through RHONY and season 8 is just Luanne is insufferable and this whole storyline about her engagement to Tom is awful. The way Ramona and Sonja were with him first and this whole engagement party on the boat in Palm Beach is the definition of MESSS. And Jules is nuts. Glad she only lasted one season.

Like Legacy is a new thing, the Sonja/Luanne show is a spin-off. I mean I guess it’s technically coming back but it’s a reboot. This is kind of huge considering NY gave Bravo 12 (well really 11) solid seasons and they turn their back on them just like that

It’s weird to me that they didn’t have the same standards with Atlanta, but with the way things are going now we’ll have to see after this current season

What I would give to experience S8 again, you don't know what you are IN FOR. S7-S10 of RHONY will always be their peak (and one of the strongest housewives peaks of all time) and the most iconic moment of the season (obviously I'm not spoiling, but everybody knows what moment I'm talking about) is Reality TV history.

I think the cumulative problematic past of RHONY coupled with Ramona's abhorrent behavior backed them into a corner - they couldn't fire Eboni for being a bad Housewife after the hell they put her through, even if they fired Ramona too. So there was really no path forward, especially since the ratings were middling at best.

Wasn't there an investigation which went in Ramona's favor?
