Yall keep talking about the old cast but they came together for UGT and it made zero noise. Not to mention that the cast that was left got the show revamped in the first place because it was just a bunch of old ******* getting wasted every episode. There was really nothing New York about it which is sad coming from where the show started. We were seeing an actual NYC lifestyle from so many different view points with a variety of women and the show just became about some drunks. If you're tuning into the new RHONY expecting it to be the same as the last group of women you saw on the show thats your issue. It's a new group of women who have to build a history with one another. To me its refreshing to see new dynamics, new money, new fashions. Is it perfect? No but none of the housewives cities are right now. RHONY UGT made noise as far as I saw, and ppl have been calling for more seasons of the legacy cast, even just as UGTs on Peacock. Idk why they stopped focusing on the UGTs (aside from the obvious lawsuits and scandal from UGT Ex Housewives 2.0, which also admittedly slightly overshadowed UGT RHONY Legacy). I still stand by that a mix of this new cast and the old one is what's needed. RHONY was always considered one of (if not) the top cities, so the amount of pressure that's on the new cast, I do think there's no way that they can win rn in the fans eyes.
Album Leak Posted October 4 Posted October 4 RHONY UGT was fine, but they literally only got the bare minimum to show up for it. Like we've already seen the group dynamic between Ramona, Sonja, LuAnn and Dorina and the status of their relationships with one another. Kristen and Kelly brought some new dynamics and perspectives to the group which was refreshing and fun, but they themselves weren't enough to elevate the show. They absolutely needed to bring back several other NY housewives like Jill, Heather, Aviva and Alex, some whom haven't been part of the show for quite some time and we don't really know where they stand with the women now. They also needed to throw large sums of money at Bethenny and Carole to come fight each other.
Illyana Frost Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) 1. I agree, ppl are doing too much on NYC 2.0. The reboot is fine...ppl just have to understand that it's a different show, I don't understand the uproar. The new girls are coming into their own and I feel the premier was super enjoyable. 2. I'm one of those that feel that NYC S 7-10 is the best run of any housewives franchise ever, but I have to acknowledge that it was lightning in a bottle. I've said this before, you can't have the chaos of Ramona-Luann-Dorinda and Sonja without the balance of Bethenny, queen Carole and Tinsley. This magic would be impossible to replicate in this era due to a number of factors, such as Ramona's racism, Carole's hatred of Andy, Bethenny's spiralling into absolute craziness, etc. Also, this point is also proven by the UGT NY season, which was kind of a flop honestly. I think we just have to accept things as it is and move on. 3. On another subject, is it fair to consider Angie K a fan favorite now?? I've always loved her but I've never seen so much positive reaction online until this past year. What do you gorls think? Edited October 6 by Illyana Frost 1

But I think she is the least insufferable among Lisa, Meredith, Whitney, Heather and Mary
UnderratedVocalist Posted October 6 Posted October 6 This season of SLC already feels WAAAAAY over produced. The amount of flashbacks shown in just 3 episodes They shoot a bunch of scenes mixing multiple people, then they bring it up piece by piece during these get-togethers to trigger the flashbacks relating to what was said. It's chaotic and inorganic in the most blatant way possible. One great thing about this season is Browyn. She's here to stay. Her confessionals are on point and she's not afraid to be confrontational in person, the way she came at Lisa and Heather was top-tier housewife material. Heather is feeling herself a little bit TOO much and it's unwarranted. She's trying to play the bad ***** but it's so obvious that she's not. She may have the I but she's definitely missing the T. 1
stjosephprey4us Posted October 6 Posted October 6 It's crazy how Heather used to be funny, relatable, self-deprecating and kind of the Greek chorus character a bit around all the crazies on the cast. However, somewhere during season 2 she flipped and started to think she was some kind of "star". I would say around the time her and Whitney's feud began, she became insufferable 1
raven Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I wasn't sure how I felt about Katie but now I hope she sticks around. She's interesting on her own but I'm also enjoying her and Jen's friendship. 2
Mornings Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) I loved the new RHONY episode. You guys want to watch another season of Sonja babbling drunk drooling with her eyes crossed? Maybe Ramona with literally poop falling out of her, or whoever they hire that's 29 years younger who has nothing to do with anything? This first episode has multi level drama. I can't wait to see Erin's husband get dragged. I love watching Brynn drop to cute schoolgirl act and turn full villain. Yall will switch up soon. Edited October 6 by Mornings
Katamari Posted October 6 Posted October 6 "Shannon's exhausting" I hope tamrat gets destroyed during the reunion
Katamari Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Jon looks kind of…. but grulexis is delusional and ignorant
Rush Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Lisa must be terrified at the thought of Monica returning that she's defending the criminal who punched a castmate 1

I see a scene between her and Jennifer and it seems like they are lost in the sauce but know they have to pay their dues, too. It's clear she doesn't like Heather but she made a mistake trusting goofy faced Gina
Sanctuary Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Watching NY and it's alright I guess. I think the two main problems are that there's not enough connective tissue to where it feels like two different shows depending on who's on camera, and also 80% of the cast take themselves VERY seriously to the point of being off-putting. We're in the high camp era of SLC and Miami, nobody is here for these snobby rich ******* anymore.
stjosephprey4us Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Potomac new era begins tonight, did y'all forget? Baguettes lemme hear you make some noise!!!

I saw this whole breakdown somewhere that proved Heather had the black eye even before the trip started. It was a stunt, and Jen is an easy target to blame bc she quite literally can't defend herself. Heather admitted on WWHL this week that she is a constant liar

Maddox Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) The scene where Alexis was kicking Jenn and Katie out of her house is wild I'm so glad she's part of the group lmao Edited October 6 by Maddox
Maddox Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Gina and Emily are so bitter and jealous of Heather yet they keep kissing her ass it's so cringe to watch

I'm curious, have you tried Vida Tequila/ does it actually exist or is it a fake housewives business type of deal?
Bethenny Frankel Posted October 6 Posted October 6 RHONY is awful, will not be watching another season

You can order it on the Vida website, but there are also some liquor stores out there that have it. I know of one in DC that carries it. 1
