I wish they'd give her just one more season so we could see Monica go out in a blaze of glory going full on villain. It sucks we only got (half of) one episode + the reunion of this storyline. I hope they get another stellar newbie though because I do not want next season to revolve around Heather vs Whitney, Lisa vs Meredith. Edited January 23 by _Fey 1

slw84 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 This needs to light a fire under the cast's flat behinds because if they don't SHOW OUT next season the girls are going to praise Monica for her impact. Now I type this when everyone swore the show couldn't survive without Jen Shah or Mary (full time). I looked at some of those ladies at the Vida event and they look like they can bring the spice so they better pick carefully. Mary is an entertaining fool...she let Monica hijack her comeback and then said that someone commenting on her house (not even in a mean way) was more offensive than her calling them inbred. THEY KNOW THEY DON"T NEED yOU, Mary. THEY BOUGHT YOU BACK BEGRUDINGLY and now that you were afterthought after 5-6 episodes thanks to Monica they don't have to tolerate your berating them and then playing victim as soon as they return serve. If Mary boxed herself out the game because of Monica AAAAAAAAAARRRRRHHHHHHHHHH

I do think a Danielle RHONJ season 2 tea would have been great for Monica, her kids, her mental health NOT US from an entertainment perspective. Monica had all the entertainment yet no leverage and played connect four with three pieces and burned bridges in the wrong place. It's ok if she did with the leads of the show Heather and Lisa but the wannabes too...Monica could have taken advantage of Whitney or whoever's quest to take dominance and use Monica as backup. You gave away all your goodies the first night just for us to know your 30 something tail is playing gossip girl games with four children at home, "working" for Jen Shah "for free" as if you are a single socialite bored without bills, and you let us know about all of your embarrassing moments like screwing an in law just one a ONE NIGHT STAND SEASON DEAL...a MESS. I'm church giggling fa ha... 2

The new girls aren't making a lot of money as they were a part of the new contracts. They are using it for free promotion for their products.

Bravo clearly struggled with this dynamic in RHONJ2, and that was filmed in 2009, so it would be even worse trying to do that dynamic in 2023 for SLC. If you have no bridges, and there's no path for retribution, there really is no point. Especially when Monica also lacks seniority.
