slw84 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Unless Monica is certifiably crazy mental institution style, she'd come back doing the same old schtick, which she's unable to because part of the reason why it worked was because she was the underdog and her methods and antics were not exposed as they are now. She's placed herself in a box with Mary Cosby as an ally. Mary has publicly shown Monica support because she knows she is boxed out. Mary was supposed to "save" the franchise and producers begrudgingly brought her back but Mary 2.0 didn't like like the original one did. She was originally unintentionally hilarious because she came back with a chip on her shoulder and started getting nasty in some scenes. Her girl Monica high-jacked her return mid-way through, and it became the Monica show with little to no Mary involved. That puts Monica and Mary on an island and the core four + Angie in power. Mary knows she shot herself in the foot not embracing the group and the group no longer needs her so she HAS to cling on to Mary and hope that Angie/Whitney or someone else caves. If Mary supports Monica then she loses her leverage with Meredith who has been supportive of Mary even when she is wrong.

Scummyman Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Watching RHONY from s1 since I'm having SLC withdrawals, and I'm on s2 now, NOT Luann telling that young girl losing weight is the easy part after she told her she wanted to be a model omgggg. Luann is such a MESS, I remember I saw some episodes when I was a kid and thought she was so elegant, but she's a mess and a half (fun af to watch) All of them are kind of a mess though. I understand why Bethenny stood out, she seems level-headed and charming. Jill is fun, Alex is a mess but I love how her crazy relationship somehow works for them, Ramona is the only one I don't rlly like, she gives me all the wrong vibes and I hateee Mario (I hated how he treated Jill because she didn't want to play Tennis wtf)

They all knew The dinner between Dorit and Garcelle was the most uncomfortable and cringy scene I've seen on any Housewife show. From both sides. And I generally like Garcelle. 1

Terrielle Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Monica raised the bar too high. If they return without her, the season is bound to disappoint imo. I hated the sit down between Garcelle and Dorito (and im a girlie of color), it kinda took me out of the fun, messy mood that I watch housewives for... Garcelle better be careful cause she's kinda starting to suck the fun out of this season. Just my 2 cents

The least they could do is put married 2 medicine before it, it’s practically holding the same ratings an hour later and would clearly have more viewers if it were on earlier.
