The Closer Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 ATL reunion day I’m really not expecting much though tbh. Kandi tries to act all tough going into it, but I don’t think she’ll go as hard as she thinks she does.

A religious experience. The episode before and after it is the GREATEST threepeat in housewives history...maybe 2nd to scary island (NY)...I would have given RHOA her flowers for Pillow fight but it really fell flat in that episode following but actually the episode leading up was lame too. SLC made history with this one. Lisa really has the tenacity to passively destroy Bethenney and send her in a tizzy. Wow I agree. Bethenney is better with less than smart people in fear. Lisa loves herself so much she could never be intimidated by tortured soul Bethenney and her rants. Lisa Barlow, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona and LuAnn torturing the cook not a chef frankel? Wow

G.U.Y. Gaga Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 SLC is good but I just don’t believe any of it if that makes sense lol

I feel like I'm the only who ever questioned the legitimacy of the Jen Shah/Vale van arrest scene. Yes, her getting arrested is real but if you watch the reactions of women on the van closely, you can pick up on some feigned shock. You can tell the bad acting sets in but then Lisa B puts on the theatrics and is convincing and the other ladies carry that on. If anything, they were given a heads up about what would be happening. I really don't believe the timing of Jen leaving minutes before the feds came. Like that's too perfect. This is a reality show production after all. They could've easily gotten to Jen sooner or while she was on the van even.

They could've easily gotten to Jen sooner or while she was on the van even. i strongly disagree. Yes, it's production but to me its clear that production was the one who set things up. They were contacted and were told ahead of time and WANTED Jen caught on camera for an iconic moment. Someone (either an assistant/production) tipped off Jen and (notice they usually give a transcript reading of the person on the other end and didn't this time) she made up a lie on the spot. Why would they react differently? They know they are on camera so they bought into what Jen was saying and if they say or show anything that might make people think they are implicated then it's bad on them. Lisa's antics confirmed to me something isn't right with her stuff to call six different lawyers (did Jen ever loan her any money?). Heather is not that bright and she reacted like a less than smart person. Jennie was reasonable. Whitney was the one who was very aware of the camera and trying to be the voice of reason and inspector gadget at the same time. What you don't seem to get was that production clued in DHS/NYPD because there's a process to get on tv. You can't just show up. So THEY did know but would it have been smart for them to tip off the cast members or get their actual reactions. They went from going on the van to getting sad news about a friend's husband to see people show up and they couldn't tell if it was a prank or stripper gram and then all of the things they suspected about her lavish lifestyle came together. I get why it seems to good to be true but people have to remember production WANTED that moment on camera. Jen was tipped off and prevented a viral moment.

Wasn’t it Coach Shah that tipped Jen off?…from what I remember, the FBI went to Jen’s house first and Coach Shah (or someone on her team) called her to tip her off

Whoever tipped her off didn't sign their life way in the bravo contract. Is it confirmed they went to their house first? I doubt he'd be able to text or call her with anything not traced by them so that might not have worked had she escaped and fled the country. I think someone else might have been questioned around that time and contacted her. For some reason I thought they gave the timestamps and it would make sense to go after Jen first then go after the family house. But I might be wrong.

I feel as though if that someone was her family it would have been caught on the Ring cameras. I wonder if it was one of her assistants but yes someone definitely let her know and it wouldn't have been wise for her family to have that call/text thread traced in case she did try to escape and they'd be aiding and abetting.
boys Posted September 11, 2022 Author Posted September 11, 2022 (edited) I wouldn't say iconic but she definitely was more entertaining at one point than she has been these last few years and when she did decide to clock in to try and do anything it was to go for Garcelle over the dumbest thing and just had her looking so stupid.
