Kyle and Rinna were dead wrong for their parts in all of this, but let’s not act like Erika did something SO malicious as to get fired. If she wasn’t terminated last season for Tom’s mess, she isn’t going anywhere for her comments to Garcelle’s kid. Everyone is acting like she “cussed out” a child, and while it doesn’t excuse the behavior, the kid is 14 and she made one statement to him.

Maybe you are not that invested in RHSOLC or RHONY but the online discourse about Ramona and Jennie was also MASSIVE (Porsha/Phaedra was some time ago and housewives Twitter was not as big). People were literally begging Bravo to fire Ramona and Jennie. Bravo ultimately listened and fired Jennie. The difference is that this time I don't see people asking Bravo to fire Kyle. But you are right fans are definitely more passionate about RHOBH

I’m on three different subreddits, here and Twitter, and in the 10+ years I’ve been watching Housewives I’ve never seen anything like it. Jen Shah is an actual criminal about to be sentenced to 30 years in prison for scamming old and disabled people and everyone fawns over her, but Kyle is an evil ***** from hell for laughing at a drunk friend swearing. Not to mention said drunk friend is being called all sorts of **** shamey names for flirting with someone younger than her. All that this backlash has done is prove Rinna’s point that even the tiniest of slights against Garcelle is met with the most insane vitriol.

I think this was Kyle's most egregious behavior yet and she needs to apologize (to the appropriate parties) but I agree this is definitely a case of people waiting for her to slip up and dramatizing it to try to get her off the show. The RHOBH fans are insane and much worse than she is anyway. (Not in this thread, but on social media and Reddit.)

 

They aren't firing her. She's not going to leave the show unless she quits, which I could truthfully kinda see her doing especially now that her daughters and Mauricio are on Netflix.

Erika crossed major boundaries flirting with Garcelle's older son and then immediately cussing out a 14 year old on television. Its hard enough being that age, its made all the harder being cussed out by a fever dream wasted Jojo Siwa embarrassing you on national tv.

What are you talking about? All of those things were highly talked about and not taken lightly at all.

 

Porsha's is still talked about to this day.

Jennie's was talked about consistently until we found out she didn't have a job anymore.

Ramona is literally clocked on the daily for what we heard about her behind the scenes and for how she behaved at black shabbat.

Phaedra was basically fired

 

RHONY was a essentially canceled 

 

and Jennie was fired

I think Erika, Garcelle and Sutton are the only sure things for next year which would be quite the shakeup.

Social media is ruining Rhobh for me. These fans are actually insane. Glad to see some people here with common sense.

They’re talked about when the past seasons are discussed, but I’m speaking about at the time. There was nowhere near the level of backlash that there is right now. And if you want me to use a current example, I said in my last post that Jen Shah is an actual criminal but is praised to the highest heavens.

Of course, so many people defended Porsha and Phaedra and for those who held Phaedra accountable they did so more than Porsha when Porsha was dumb enough to say something like that.

 

Ramona has had an investigation done on her and was cleared.

 

People didn't like how Jennie treated Mary but were ok with how Mary treated Jennie and it wasn't until after the reunion was aired and someone found old tweets that she was called a racist and fired.

Erika told Garcelle's CHILD to **** off at her own birthday party. In all the years that this show has been on no one has ever said something like that to one of their children before but her behavior was so wild she actually went there. Even after having a meltdown about her friend Eileen saying something in regards to her child when it wasn't meant as an insult.

 

The backlash is over the hypocrisy on this show because if anyone had said something to Jagger or Portia in the way that Erika did to Jax then those girls would have let it be a storyline for the rest of these 12 episodes we have coming up. Instead Kyle sat down and chose to make light of the situation and say Erika was loosening up and then had her high as a kite husband there saying he's glad she said it.

It's a reservoir for the worst of the worst and people lacking real world/life experience and purposely engulf themselves in reality tv for escapism. They are very persistent with spending their energy to be hypercritical.

True. Phaedra took most of the heat but even then it wasn't nearly as much as it is for BH. My girl Teresa (who I love) does bad things and it is not getting as much heat as the BH/ATL ladies do when they mess up. But BH and ATL have a stronger pop culture impact...I guess that could be the counterargument used.

Kyle has also (sort of) apologised and it hasn’t stopped, yet there hasn’t been as much as a letter from Erika regarding it.

Because Kyle and Dorit are still hated to the ends of the earth by LVP stans and they literally attack them for everything they do. Now it's multiplied because other people that don't hate them but actually find how they acted along with Erika to be a hot ass mess so you have the criticism pouring in from a lot more fans because the LVP stans finally have some real ammunition against them to use so they are going overboard and attacking Kyle's kid on instagram.

 

The point being this doesn't help Rinna prove anything.

Housewives likeability is based on what we see on the show. Most housewives are ****** horrible in real life and they are still seen ok by the viewers. You need to be a weirdo alt-right conspiracy theorist like Jennie/Kelly Dodd/Siggy to be actually hated by the audience for off-camera actions. Jen has all the weight of justice on her. She is going to pay for what she did but she is alright on the show and in social media so i understand why the audience doesn't go so hard after her

 

The RHOBH hw's are under a larger microscope than in other franchises because they have displayed the same behavior season after season and get away with it which is very frustrating. They have lasted for way too long while being disliked by most and without any real punishment by Bravo.

 

Candiace has been only there for 3 seasons and she gets the same sh*t by the audience as Lisa Rinna . The difference is that Andy calls her out almost evetime he sees her. Andy has never really called out Kyle or Lisa

You’re right about the LVP stans jumping on them any chance they can get, but the really vocal Garcelle stans are just LVP stans that have transferred from her to Denise, then from Denise to Garcelle. I’m on Garcelle’s side this season and I think she’s doing a great job, but that’s because she’s **** stirring, being messy and calling things out. In their eyes, Garcelle is a sweet innocent angel that has never done anything wrong and will never because she’s classy and rises above it all.
