It was so clever to make a found footage movie with a high budget as it made it feel so realistic, especially when you see the buildings collapsing. The spider-like creatures were so creepy and reminded me of The Mist, which is another absolute classique! 1

Leptine Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 This is getting great reviews, can't wait, I'm hyped, I loved both seasons of 'The haunting of Hill House' and 'Midnight Mass'. Mike Flanagan to wash Ryan Murphy once again @The Witch 2
DatChickDoe Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Taking the train the next couple of days. Downloaded Pet Semetery (2019), Nun 2, and Haunted Mansion. Hoping for at least one to be decent.

Walk_Away21 Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Are yall ready for the Barbie of horror Five Nights at Freddy's to be the biggest horror movie of the year? @Reverse Warholian Peeta and Beck won.
The Man Who Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Has anybody watched the Spanish horror called Terrified or Aterrados? I just finished watching it and *****, I am shook! That was really good.

Ugh idk how to feel about it knowing that now Yeah it's definitely more campy comedy horror but there's some nice body horror moments. The storyline is weird but interesting lol
Lemon Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Not that Cocaine Bear is good, but it felt less forced than Slotherhouse even though sloth is cute as hell and the best ( and only ) element of the movie. Anti-hero animals making waves this year.

I wouldn't have known it was trash unless I watched it LOL I had hoped TN2 would pull an "Annabelle: Creation" and be superior than the first, but it was only slightly better. Sadly the reviews are correct imo. Biggest issue for me is that exorcism is just not scary anymore unless it's done in some creative or fresh way. This was more of the same and nothing unlike most of the other exorcism knockoffs we've seen over the last few decades. The storyline surrounding Ellen Burstyn was VERY disappointing and what they do with her is... very upsetting imo. They kind of wasted her return. The acting is good, Odom tries his best. There's too many characters involved and then much of the story is either not explained well enough or gets convoluted. The ending may be divisive as well. The best part was the last 60 seconds though. Also I was upset at minor things, like in some scenes with the girls being possessed and the demon in them speaking, the girls mouths did not line up with the audio of the demons voice. It looked messy. Some of the special effects looked crappy too. Make-up was great though.

There's also Gina Gehrson in the cast, this is coming for my #1 spot this year, they needed to cast Jennifer Tilly too to make a 'Bound' reunion like in 'Chucky' 1
