Florence Pugh's performance and a couple of cool visual elements aside, Midsommar is indeed MID. Can't believe Prude Randolph enjoyed it of all ppl

Agreed. And LOOL. The way it went on for like 10 minutes... like we get the point. The cast tried their best but nothing could save that script. And I wouldn't even call it a horror movie. More like a slow burning thriller.

It's been awhile that I realized I don't really like Ari Aster movies, even the overprised 'Herediatary', sure he's a great director, the ideas are valid, his movies are well done but they never really did for me entirely, I never been totally slayed to say it in ATRL terms.

 

When it comes to artsy movies, I found 'Titane' so much superior than his work, not a casual that it managed to ever win or get nominated to some prestigious awards contrary to Aster movies.

I loved midsommar more than hereditary, the problem with ari aster movies is that thjey are really FEEL BAD movies... i mean that suicide scene (opening scene) in midsommar is just trauma inducing
