Ian Pangilinan was #32 on last year's chart, but he also suffered the ignominy of getting 0 points this year. Despite a minor resurgence in Filipino BLs this year, only 2 actors from the archipelago could be found in the top 75, unfortunately. 

 

 

 

 

 

Job Thuchapon Koowongbundit, with a few sterling crying scenes in last year's hit The Massacre and Murder Miracle of Teddy Bear, nabbed him the #27 spot last year. Interestingly enough, his name is Chinese is Leng Shui, or Cold Water. However, the controversial ending of said Bear show has probably led to ATRLers pouring cold water on him, and he scores no points this year. Judo, who played his boyfriend, unsurprisingly also scored 0 points. 

 

Meanwhile, Inn Sarin has since moved on to GMMTV and also bulked up and can now be classified as a bear, but will he do well enough to place in the top 50?

KinnPorsche was all the rage last year, and Bible Wichapas scored 5 awards at the BLammys. Unfortunately, timing is key, and in the 11 months since then, ATRLers have moved on rather rapidly. This is not surprising given the sheer amount of scandalous chatter surrounding BeOnCloud and the actors, in particular Build Jakapan.

 

Mile scores 0 points this year (after ranking at #27 last year). Tong, Jeff and Bible score some points, but it's not enough to score a place in the bubbling under. Bible thus has dubious honor of scoring the most number of Blammy awards without ever charting on the BL King chart.

 

The only bright spot is Apo Nattawin, but will he have enough points to be in the top 50?

Other cute facts and figures before we move on to the bubbling under...

 

1. The only actor to be mentioned by 2 members while still scoring under 10 points is Kim Seong Hyuk, who played Milk in the KBL web drama Choco Milkshake.

2. Phuwin Tangsakyuen is the only actor to receive 3 mentions and not place within the top 70. He is ranked #100, and is level on points with fellow Joylada Gang compatriots JoongDunk. Phuwin's other 2 ship partners, Neo Trai Nimtawat and Pond Naravit Lertratkosum are somewhere in the top 50. Pond is only mentioned by 2 members, but they seem to love him a lot, so he is placed rather high.

3. The cut-off to be in the top 100 is 16 points, the top 75 is 24 points, and the top 50 is 41 points (while noting that the #1 pick scores only 35 points). I am happy to announce that all your #1 picks have managed to place within the top 50 (phew)!

i like SatangWinny but its small appearance in MSP was not enough, there were many BL with a good cast this year, there was not room for everyone

- The Anti-Krist has delivered sterling performances in the SOTUS franchise and Be My Favorite. In a ship that everyone said would be dead on arrival, Krist and Gawin have done what was presumed impossible and made Be My Favorite one of the most acclaimed shows of the year. But of course, an ex-homophobe is an ex-homophobe, and this will be the highest he will ever be.

- I would suppose that everyone expected a huge fall for last year's #1 actor Nanon Korapat Kirdpan, but man, that was a larger-than-expected plunge for the thespian who has come out as straight and gay4pay. 

- Another oof for the long-time top 10 inhabitant, who perhaps has overstayed his welcome. After all, when Tay Tawan Vihokratana's last queer project, 3 Will Be Free (2019), aired, we had absolutely no idea that a pandemic was about to happen. He will probably do well next year, once Cherryphobic Thailand premieres.

- Off Jumpol Adult Kitty P0rn Adulkittiporn is yet another member of the original 3 pillars who has crashed out of the top 10, after being inducted last year. Still, with Cooking Crush and The Trainee on the horizon, there's hope for Off to rebound in next year's chart.

- I voted for Nanon, Tay and Off last year and decided to not vote for any of them this year, and look what happened.
