Yes. As someone who works in the field of medicine. A transplanted heart will mostly eventually succumb unless it was done at a very young age and the heart was of a very young person ( i.e., a child ). Probably Tian can live for another 25-30 years if he’s extremely lucky. But most of the patients eventually succumb to their disease within 10-20 years. The longest surviving heart transplant patient has had one for 39 years so with the field having improvements and new modalities being incorporated probably we can have a case where transplant expectancy can match upto an average life expectancy

But we can always be delulu and imagine it was a happily ever after.

Well that mostly happens because their primary illness wasn’t some pathology of the heart but something else underlying, Ex: Malignant Hypertension, Renal Failure, Pulmonary Embolism, Shock( Ex: Hypovolemic/Haemorrhagic/Septic ), Severe Anaemia, Diabetic changes, Atherosclerosis and plaque formation, etc. Some people also die due to Graft vs Host rejection reactions. So basically their heart gets damaged due to these other morbid conditions and if these underlying problems are not solved the transplanted heart also gets damaged.

I was saying from a stand point of someone having a Cyanotic Heart Disease, Cardiomyopathy etc. , which implies that the pathology lies in the heart and they mostly do not have other interfering illnesses. Tian had this issue hence if he maintained a healthy life style and the Graft/organ was well accepted he could expect a life of 10-20 years and if lucky even 25-30 years.

======

It would have been more interesting if the direction of the show was having Torfun's spirit possessing Tian and compelling Tian to do things she wanted. It could either be very dark or a hilarious comedy.  :gaycat6:

The numbers are good, but not terrific. This is what happens when you geoblock 23.5. I want to watch, but it's not on Youtube over here!

Erm, Book has stayed over and slept on Force's bed numerous times. Even though Force is straight, I'm not ruling out anything over here! I don't think his parents think it's anything out of the ordinary for Force to kiss Book.

Is Unknown worth the watch? :lakitu: I kinda want to watch it, but based on the trailer, one of the guys seems annoyed with the other guy the entire time :deadbanana: Personally, I’m not interested in seeing that much push and rejection.

Okay, the first episode of Unknown was really good :jonnycat: adding this series to my watch list!

Many people justify watching non spicy BL by saying that only doing the act yourself is haraam but seeing someone else do it is not. It's the same as watching a hetero romance where you know the couple are in a haraam relationship. If you ask a scholar they would say it is absolutely haraam to watch or encourage any homosexual act whether explicit or not as amongst the people of Lot there were those including the wives who encouraged or stood by silently watching the homosexual relationships and this were punished too along with the perpetrators as they did not speak against it.

As you've probably done your research, BL is considered haram.

If you see muslim fans of BL, it basically means they are less conservative. If I'm not wrong, the bible also prohibits homosexuality (?). If you ask a conservative christian or muslim if it's okay to watch BLs, the answer's obvious. Same same the other way round. You get conservative and not-so-conservative people from every religion.

I asked ChatGPT if liking a BL actor is haram and this was its response:

As for liking an actor who has acted in a Boys Love series, it's important to distinguish between appreciating someone's professional talent and endorsing all aspects of their work or personal choices. Islam teaches the importance of good character, modesty, and following a moral and ethical path. Liking an actor for their talent doesn't necessarily imply endorsement of all their roles or personal beliefs. However, the emphasis is often on avoiding actions and influences that might lead one away from Islamic principles.

I feel like I only watch one Japanese BL per year, but they’re always a serve. I need to pay more attention to that region :rip: On the other hand, I’m watching Thai BLs less and less, especially over the past year.

I've always wanted a mystery solving BL (or basically an alternate Kindaichi / Scooby Doo universe with same-sex pairs) but this is good enough. But if it's not going to be on YT, I will never end up watching it.

MarcPoon re-enacting one of the numerous iconic 2Bros scenes. Poon really has that face card. I foresee that I will be obsessing over him in a few weeks' time.
