"It ends up feeling like, at best, a generic version of its inspirations." "It's often difficult to work with the controls." "Even the characters who end up having unexpected or interesting roles to play in the unfolding tale end up coming across a bit dull." "The world of DioField feels like anyone's first try making up a whole new setting for a Dungeons & Dragons." "The voice direction leaves a lot to be desired, with many important conversations let down by stiff and unenergetic deliveries. While each member of the main cast has a complex and interesting backstory and motivations, the way the English dialogue is written doesn't always come across as very authentic." Did this review inspire you to play it?
thatsmydemi Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 I'm on chapter 8 of Digimon Survive and I must say the game is surpassing my expectations. It's my first time playing a visual novel AND my first time playing a strategic rpg game. It is obvious that all the production issues have hurt the game because you can tell it lacks depth in some aspects, especially the battle system which is rather simple but still enjoyable for me since it's my first time lol. The story is so interesting. I wish they made an anime based on this game because it's got huge potential. A positive aspect is that there are more battles than I expected after how they sold the game saying "70% visual novel and 30% rpg". Collecting Digimon is also addictive although a bit frustrating as well because of the porcentages and the few places where you can find them.

Puttanesca Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 The way they could've just put that effort into a new Mario game instead.
Magickarp Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Nier is out there (not that it matters now anws ) Scott spilled. Switch was what got me to expand out of Pokemon. Well BOTW mainly, but they are a package deal.
Eóghan Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Did anyone finish TUNIC on here? It's lowkey a masterpiece and really challenging. I'm halfway through it, I'm struggling so much in some puzzles and bosses but I don't mind it's addictive as ****. Also the exploration and being totally lost is my favorite kink in video games and it's 10/10 in this one.

I watched a Twitch streamer play Tunic (so I feel like I don't need to play ), but he got like 90% done and then found the endgame so annoying that he never finished it
