I do think there are queens who use cultural/political references to skate by on otherwise mid/bad performances, but I certainly wouldn’t put Gia/Nymphia’s talent shows in that camp .

See- I agree here. When a villain performs well, LOVE it. When a villain is payola’d (mistress and now PJ), Makes it much worse than when a lovable queen is payola’d!  
 

I said what she said right before her confessional about Megami’s aft, almost verbatim. And so I was really liking her. But then she comes out with that horrible herself?? And then wins bc Rupaul fake stans her?? So disappointing!

 

Raven was downright MEAN, but she SERVED. Plane Jane is really not backing up her meanness yet…so I really hope that changes bc if they payola her to the end just bc she’s “the villain”, she’s gonna be hated (by those of us who can see through production’s forced storylines of which queens are doing well, and which queens aren’t).

Nymphia is IT. Love her.

 

Hershii is a goofy ***** and I love it! But she’s getting a dusty edit which is sad.

Megami is just plain lazy…and if that’s genuinely the best she could do in both performance and runway look, then she deserves her early elimination she’s got coming.

 

Not sure why Mih’ya decided to rip off her ruveal before we could even see it, but ok werk- throw away that top 2 placement sis. Her talent show was obviously the best but her speaking to Ru like she wasn’t sure what was even going on…?? “Me and my cousins would go out flipping..” like I’m sorry but what does that mean? Yous just got together and did flips? She confused me more than she was confused herself. 
 

idk I’m just excited to see the first group come for Jane because you know Jane’s group was just way too nice and allowed her to get cocky. Her getting knocked down a few pegs is gonna be fun to watch. Like when Tatiana was capable of clapping back at Raven. That’s what made good TV.

This. I actually thought it was c*nty of PJ to call out Megami’s mediocre “talent” despite the very important message. It felt like an afterthought.

 

But then she came out with that TRAGIC “talent”. It wasn’t even original or witty like Willow’s or Jimbo’s Bologna Ghost. It was.. very reductive and not at all dumb in a good way.

 

The way next season the girls will hang up the important messaging and cultural performances and start coming up with “Pie P*ssy” and “Pizza Nose” or something next season just to be LOL XD SO RANDOM!!1! and the talent show will continue to decline.

I don’t disagree. I didn’t live for her either. It was unoriginal. Overall I much preferred group 1.

As a Trixie fan, I have to say it’s annoying affff when the host brings guests on who are just their friend and not former drag race contestants OR just drag queens with experience.

 

however- Bob and Bianca did the same thing. So you can’t say this is Trixie ruining the pit stop. Buttt that being said, go on and blame Trixie because I actually genuinely enjoy how obsessed with Trixie’s success that her haters show to be in the fandom. It honestly makes me cackle with delight to call out each of the AS3 Winner’s hate critiques. She won. She’s a great entertainer. She’s excellent at what she does. And no amount of distaste for her is going to discredit that.

Nymphia's performance was beautiful. There's a traditional dance called water sleeves which is what she was doing. Just because you aren't aware of the dance doesn't mean what she did didn't demonstrate talent.

She legit just did a mediocre lip sync to a song and then held up a protect queer art sign like what — what’s the talent??? Like obviously let’s protect queer art but like can you actually do something??

Compare that with Mariah who had a political message and also at least a nice performance with it.

The way I always wanna root for my Latina girlies but Geneva seems a little undercooked so far and Morphine’s attitude is somehow better than her talent it seems.

 

We need someone on a US season on the level of Alexis Mateo and Valentina STAT. Jorgeous arguably being the best as of recent seasons is not IT! 

 

All Stats seasons don’t count either cause I would never drag Successica Wild after her STOMP on AS8.

Lol. Not kids starting being taught at 8 years old for 12 years to perform sleeve dances at the different operas in China just for you to say it was flailing fabric. Obviously her skill was nowhere close to that, but it was a really cute moment.

Very this. The message was fantastic and very relevant. It doesn’t change the fact that the message took up about 10 seconds of a 2 minute lazy performance. Mariah had a fantastic message and an exciting performance. You can have a great message but still do an entertaining show.

I already have a hate-love relationship with her and that’s amazing!

Her saying that she’ll vote fairly a couple of times and me believing her and then she was giving the least points to Nymphia  that was like a game of thrones like back stabbery for me. She is serving Cersei and I hate&love it!

 

She won the episode where Nymphia was supposed to be the main star. Even though Nymphia made an amazing/gag-worthy enterance and her talent&runway was the best, Plane made as much impact as her(if not more).

 

It feels like this season is gonna have a Mean Girls like high school movies storyline.

 

Even though the popular girl Regina George (Plane Jane) will start off with big star quality and captivate all the beta-girls around her, she will lose to the innocent-good-smart-more talented girl Cady (Nymphia) at the end.

Mhi'ya's was amazing, it may not have re-invented the wheel or been unpredictable but she delivered exactly what I wanted in excellent form!

 

These absurd talent shows like Plane's just aren't my sense of humor idk.
