Symone became an immediate stand-out from the Meet the Queens Reveal in December 2020, where she outdid her entire cast in both her promo looks. Could someone from the same house G*gi Goodie came from actually serve quality fashion with a defined and branded aesthetic instead of just cosplaying in Halloween costumes made by their mom?

 

The answer was yes.

 



 

Symone gave The Best Promo Look of All Time and was rightfully centered in the middle of the cast cause even VH1 couldn't bother to hide who the star of the season was.

 



 

Episode 1 premiered with a controversial twist, immediately dividing the Best and Worst of the cast. Guess which group Thee Symone was in?

 



 

Inspired by fellow model Gisele Bunchden, Symone walked into the competition in a polaroid dress literally no queen but her could ever pull off and faced off against fan favorite at the time Tamisha Iman in a lipsync to Pleasure Principal

By the time the entire cast got together on Episode 4, Symone was the only queen with 3 wins under her belt. You would think production would try to push her to the side a bit to give the other queens a chance but the power of Symone is just too strong. Symone already certified herself as the look queen and performer of the season in just 2 episodes but The Ebony Enchantress said I'm gonna be the actress and meme queen, as well.

 

 

 

Symone managed to make the horrible acting challenge bearable with her iconic Flag Fac'try and then proceeded to bring black culture center stage to the runway with her unforgettable Train for Days look

 

CHALLENGE WIN #2



 

In 3 episodes, Symone's track record was WIN-WIN-WIN. The stuff of legends and the most dominant start of any season by any queen EVER

 

It took 5 entire episodes into the season for a moment where Symone didn't completely obliterate her competition during the Bag Ball. Knowing she's a legend in the making, Symone never bothered to learn how to sew since she knew she'd soon be too successful to ever need to.

 





 

Symone took a break for episode 5, coincidentally the worst challenge of the season but still paid tribute to her future self, RuPaul with another spectacular runway

 



 

Episode 6 SHOULD'VE been another win for Thee Symone but the producers had to acknowledge that there were other queens in the werk room still and gifted Olivia Symone's deserved 3rd win for Bossy Rossy instead.

 



 

As if there's any doubt who won the runway though. Another iconic look in the basket for Thee Symone I fear

 





 

Deciding that it wouldn't be great television for her to just dominate the entire season, Symone decide to flop the Social Media Rusical for vulnerability

Snatch Game arrived and Symone was robbed of a high placement for her brilliant Harriet Tubman impersonation. Never fear though, even when the production is not giving her her flowers, a legend takes matters into her own hands. And Symone did just that by stopping the world with her iconic, breath-taking Fascinators look. Breaking the 4th wall of reality television and forcing this racist ass fanbase to recognize the atrocities black people are faced with in this country. A moment for the ages.

 



 

THEE Symone made actual headlines with this look. Yahoo called it HISTORIC, Entertainment Weekly called it THE MOST POWERFUL LOOK IN DRAG RACE HERSTORY

 

On Episode 10, the Makeover challenge came along and Symone decided to be charitable and give local kooky weirdo and overrated white fave Utica her first and only win of the season

To think it's only been a year must be shocking since she's accomplished more than most queens will in their entire lifetime in just the span of one year - in the midst of a pandemic mind you.

The way you just deflect by using race as a reason to avoid criticism is a bit troubling. Neither me nor Both Sides have ever gone hard for a white queen. And I’m always dragging the white girls in here constantly, so it’s not really an apt argument anyways. I was the loudest Monet and Shea supporter/defender during AS7. I’ve written essays combatting the Symone haters. I once again defended Shea during AS5. I stanned Rajah during AS6, although most of this thread did too at the time. I dragged Kylie, Gigi, Mik, Rose, etc. 
 

None of this was a personal attack or a character judgment but your reaction to a small correction of behavior is fairly childish. Simply addressing the fact that what you’re saying *could* be seen as ableist does not mean anyone thinks you are actually ableist. Much like how people saying things about Monet could be seen as racist even if it’s just how they feel about her. All anyone was saying was that we should be aware of how things can come across, and that your statement often goes with common misplaced criticisms of chronically ill people. Simply saying “I see what you’re saying, I didn’t mean it that way, but I will be more aware, thanks!” was enough, but you’ve yet again turned this into a 2 day argument. This is gonna be my last post addressing this, but the reaction is fairly disappointing.

Your last post could've been yesterday if you didn't want a 2 day argument cause my post today was in response to two posts *made today* not by you. Didn't even mention you, nor were you and Both Sides the only one commenting, but as was said in a post yesterday...a hit dog will holler, won't it? 

 

I don't avoid critcism and certainly don't need to use race to deflect any. Pointing out that Yvie -  a winner who also has a disability - NEVER got this kind of nuance or coddling over her career post S11 and Symone, the most recent winner who actually did great things and STILL got called a flop meanwhile excuses are made for Willow left and right isn't deflection. It's highlighting the very clear and obvious difference this thread treats black vs white queens. Yvie is a black queen with a debilitating disability and ATRL calls her a flop. Symone is a black queen who succeeded beyond ANY of her peers and ATRL still calls her a flop. Willow a white queen gets called a flop and girls come rushing to say it's ableist to say so. The worst thing anyone even said about Willow in the past few pages is she's a "flop winner" and doesn't have a big career. Ya'll are the ones dragging it out because those comments are minor af - ESPECIALLY compared to the criticisms black queens get. If she's not a flop winner, say why. Not these think pieces about how it's an ableist train of thought to say she only tours with the S14 girls when that's a fact. 

 

You got people in here PRETENDING to know about her disability and say she can't travel or book other gigs because it's physically demanding yet she's quite literally touring nationwide. Some of yall are in here making up stories about what her disability can or cannot do to try to accuse people calling her a flop of being ableist. Like I already said, she's fully capable of touring because she does. She's just not capable of having a solo tour cause she's not a star. She's fully capable of doing photoshoots, because she does. She's just not capable of being in magazines cause she's not a star and they don't want her. She's fully capable of branded IG posts because she's done them, she just doesn't get many because she's not a star and companies obviously aren't reaching out. Ugh I wish S15 was on Vh1 instead of MTV. Drag Race is going back to 1 hour episode which is really 40-45 minutes instead of the standard 60 minutes without commercials we’ve gotten these past few years. And starting on January 20th, a new show starring  Todrick will air after Drag Race. That mean Untucked will be airing an hour later after Todrick’s show. 
 

I’m not happy that we are getting shorter episodes which mean everything will feel condensed and rushed especially with a huge cast like this one.

I personally don't mind the episode being shorter, as long as it means less tragic mirror talk. And since I'm not gonna watch live on MTV anyway, it won't affect me this lame show being in the middle, but as soon as this mess starts, I can see a lot of people turning the TV off and not bothering with Untucked, hopefully it doesn't mean that Untucked will be a boring mess.
