If you say that Shea deserved to win S9 and Monet deserved to win AS4/AS7 in the same sentence, you are not also playing fairly.

 

The show's logic for crowning the queens does not make any sense post S8/AS2 and when they dont have any consistent context of who they crown, it is really off putting for everyone. 

 

If they are so interested in crowning fan favourites, just announce it like that. Or just guess who will fans love the most and handle the season like that if you are aiming to crown according to track records and throw LFTC to the garbage. Everything is messy and this irrationality is what making people turn off.

I laugh when the girls say “why don’t we talk about the riggory for Shea??? Who benefitted from the payola stars??” Like Shea being in that position in the first place ISNT riggory. They purposely didn’t give her wins so they could have that gag at the end. The production was particularly darksided this season an we don’t even need the cast members to know that (but they are spilling too!)

This. At this point they make their own rule then purposefully break them for shock value.

 

To me it’s pretty clear that they basically have a top 4 in mind from the moment they put together the cast of a season and they make sure every decision, every placement, every critique creates a solid and believable storyline for all of them.

 

I know it’s a TV show, but it’d greatly benefit from production taking a step back and let things flow more naturally, other than following the rules they set in place and not introduce absurd twists that completely change the course of the competition.

This is also tea right here. It’s just so annoying that sometimes payola gets thrown in and other times it’s mostly fair and other times someone who doesn’t even feel payola’d randomly snatches it at the end. 
 

Like girl, just be CONSISTENT. If every finale is gonna be a rigged mess, work. But pick a side, it’s like every season they know who they want to win, but they don’t follow through with it all the time, so edits end up being weird and the entire season doesn’t make sense anymore. As much as I hate the idea of track record-based crownings cause it makes the finale (and lowkey the entire second half of the season) predictable and uneventful, at least it would be consistent so we don’t have to be blindsided by whatever snap decision the producers made that day.  
 

That’s why earlier seasons are generally far more enjoyable than recent ones. There was more of a focus on the queens and letting them work in their natural environment. Now it’s about producing storylines and manufacturing “marketable” winners. Just let the talent speak for itself please, and let the queens shine on their own.

Tbh the LSFTC is such a terrible finale concept that needs binning. I feel like they should do something in the vein of the talent show where the girls can just do what it is they do best and just have finale-level production. The finale lip-syncs are literally pointless like why are we having the girls lip sync to these underwhelming random songs that don't fit the queens brands and then editing out the best parts to scew the perception of who did better. Like if the girls just had a time slot to present what they're actually good at the rigging would be less obvious because they could just pretend to be subjective about who they preffered.

This. The S14 little performances were really cute. A mix of that/S8 finale would be PERFECT. Let the girls do what they do best and represent their brand, and it's more subjective. Monet washing Jinkx to Swish Swish was an inevitability given both their skillsets, so I don't know why production thought that was a good idea if Jinkx was clearly going to win from the beginning of the season

Kim is in her entrepreneur bag and obv going through something based on the extreme weight gain over the past couple years. She’s always aimed to be a mostly makeup girl since she can’t perform for **** and is probably happy just being a makeup mogul, only appearing in posts and videos enough to keep her brand out there to sell her cosmetics. Don’t even like the ***** like that but she’s worth a little bit of defending for always being on the right side of history by openly stanning Shangela right in her bestie’s face during AS3. The friend group of Naomi, Kim, and Monet remains elite, especially when they don’t invite Bob to their hangouts to keep him pressed

 

Don’t confuse Bob getting cancelled to you WANTING Bob to get cancelled. She will remain an icon and one of the BEST winners of all time even without ever working with World of Wonderbread ever again. Jaida’s high ass could been talking about literally anyone but here y’all go. 
 

Shea is bitter as she absolutely should be. They crafted a underdog edit to make give her a different storyline than being a front runner for the 3rd season in a row and now has to deal with musty fans acting like she flopped. Production played in her face like no other and it ain’t no surprise that the queens just starting spilling tea within the past 2 weeks, which is the exact timeline of Monet finding out she lost. They ALL know it was Rigga Morris and 5/8 queens calling out production isn’t for no reason. Beyond just herself, I know Shea is mad as **** to see her 2 black sisters clearly win the lipsync but the show just outright saying NOPE fans don’t like blacks and neither do we. Monet being top 2 AND winning the final season but leaving with $10k is a joke. Yvie stomping Auntie Dust and leaving with nothing is a joke.
