Tbh Trinity seems the most well-rounded out of all the AS7 queens, but seems she's the "jack of all trades" with little groundbreaking stuff in every area compared to, say, Shea's mastery in fashion, Jinx/Viv's mastery in improv/acting, etc.

Won't be surprised if she gets to the finale though.

Except she's the biggest flop of the entire cast when it comes to post show success. No distinct brand, not hirable, no hosting skills, not seen as profitable by any company anywhere. 

 

Unlike her twinner, who brands (and Oprah) just love

Why lie? She was literally chosen along with Monét, Sharon, Alaska, Trixie and Manila for the Serv vodka ad campaign. She might not be the most marketable winner (or queen) out there, but she's more than fine as proven by her wardrobe getting better and better (and more expensive too) with every Drag Race appearance.

Meanwhile Priyanka had the second best reign in modern history (after THEE, of course) and is easily top 3 most successful international winners. The fact that the Canadian market is so much smaller yet she’s on par with the UK winners (not Krystal because Pri’s way surpassed her) says it all.

but how does her Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent post-show correlate winning the show itself with a terrible performance throughout the show, in comparison to the others in the top 4

Because it’s the inaugural season of a brand new show and they need someone with talent and STAR POWER to make the show not seem like a joke off the jump. The winner of a first season has to represent the show and prove its worthwhile. Bozo and the hot dog lover are not stars in any way shape or form.

That same logic is what got Trixie to rob Shangela's crown, though.

 

Who is the Hot Dog lover? If its Rita, yes I know she didn't really have strong charisma, but she still had much more skill, during the show.

 

I'm still mad about Jimbo's mistreatment overall, that paper/metal/plastic trash challenge

But honestly, kudos to Tuck. She has had a great career on Drag Race. I wonder if she can take this good grace she has gained back from the fans and turn it into something post-show or if she’ll go back to getting punched in the face backstage by Alyssa Edwards (which btw, is absolutely wild ).

Question for the thread, do y’all consider it a good or bad thing for a queen to have more challenge wins than they do prominent gigs or achievements post show?

I think the all-winners format could be great for a regular all-stars season provided they get a really great cast of queens, akin to AS2. But this would only work if they space out all stars more to collect a better cast, and we all know that's probably not going to happen.

I mean, it's not really a good parallel because Shangie is also a star and they obviously knew that at the time. She went on to star in a HBO series (which is going into its 3rd season), appear in a film nominated for Best Picture, etc.

 

On the other hand, Rita Baga has ZERO charisma and would never gain a big fan base outside of Canada. Not to mention that she should have been eliminated on the spot for the blue dress she made in the first challenge (but got her first payola'd win instead ). Scarlet Bobo has even less charisma (negative charisma, if you will), as one of the worst brats to ever appear on TV. Stank attitude, worst lyricist in Drag Race herstory, whiny, ugly, etc. No way she was gonna do anything after singing "what kind of kitty are you wearing right now?" on a Drag Race finale.

 

AS4 producers had the choice between multiple marketable queens. C1 had only one option.
