It was decided based on feedback from the spring 2023 town hall to transition this thread back to being election specific. With the Civics section being able to house specific threads on many issues, we think having a generalized politics thread is not completely necessarily anymore. 
 

With that said, please continue to be respectful and remember that you do not always need to respond to everyone.

Trump wins it just because Biden failed the first half of the debate 

 

 

he did win the second half but no one cares about the second half

The closing statement was so weak. Trump is literally rambling but he's talking assertively. Biden came off as extremely weak in the end completely demolishing his mediocre performance in the middle that could have offset the damage.

I'm sick and tired of Donald Trump and Biden does not make me hopeful about the next 4 years. No policy discussion, just insulting each other back and forth.

The base is gone and this was his last shot to win over Independents still on the fence. He blew it.

 

Because Americans are idiots that don't bother to do their research and only largely care about appearances, Trump won.

All these gay guys that will vote for Jill Stein because of Palestine will seriously regret their votes in 2025. USA will be lost while they cry about Palestine, a country where being gay is a crime. The irony is just too much.
