Why is Biden so ideologically committed to an evil rogue state that he'd throw away American Democracy to a 50-50 jump ball?

ย

ย

I mean on the corollary why are you willing to throw everyone in your own country away for said conflict

This country deserves Project 2025 for what it has done to the rest of the world, not just Gaza. Democrats have been complicit bystanders in every single atrocity. I have nothing but hatred for this country and its people deserve nothing but suffering and misery for what we are enabling.

ย

"Please please please re-elect Biden so he can do a 99% Genocide instead of Trump's 100% Genocide" isn't as persuasive as yall are insisting.

Well, nothing to worry about now that both nominees are locked in as presumptive.

ย

Did you see the Morning Joe clips of Richard Haass and Elise Jordan I just posted in the Israel-Palestine megathread?ย :coffee2:ย

I did. It's the kinds of things they wouldn't have said in their old jobs which gets to interesting hindsight on how a re-elected Trump vs. Republican neocon would've handled this, ignoring the talking points on Netanyahu carpet bombing all of Gaza under Donald (but not dismissing it out of hand).

Well, I meanโ€ฆ Biden is more of an extremist than Reagan was. He was such a genocidal maniac back in 1982 that he was trying to egg on Begin to completely level Lebanon while Reagan was urging him to pull back. Him also undermining Obama and Hillary to reassure Bibi that their objections to the West Bank settlements weren't that big of a deal and he should go ahead with them anyway isโ€ฆ also pretty damning.

ย

"Normal" Republican politicians would just go along with the long-held US stance and urge Israel to pull back for the good of its own global standing. We're in a unique position where both parties' candidates for president are far more ideologically predisposed to maximalist Zionist advancement at all cost, even at risk of America's global standing. This isn't purely a Republican issue in the sense that I don't think Chamber of Commerce Republicans really support this. This is a Trump and Biden problem, and Republicans are following Trump's lead (because he's centered the party entirely around what Evangelicals want) while Biden is actively hemorrhaging his own party to protect a foreign head of state that he is "angry" with.

"I don't understand how anyone can support him after this. Sanders probably gets off at night thinking about more homeless children in San Francisco"

As an SF resident for more than 10 years, SF is no longer a progressive city. We can see it with the absurd local measures that passed last month. All our people in office are actually trash. However, at least Preston was the individual supervisor to lead the call for a ceasefire resolution, which eventually passed... so that's something I guessย :ducky:

A socialist who brags about progressives losing in *checks notes* internal polls conducted by their own opponents?

Your niche being tech bro who thinks luxury condo helps poor people still is so funny dddd.ย

ย

Being lectured oh progressivism as someone who grew up on Section 8 by someone whose entire politics is formed around "letting commercial housing markets do handle the problem" jfdkkdjddj.ย

Y'all lose your mind about black female progressives like Brianha not wanting to vote for Biden but then share tweets from people like this?

ย

"Hamas Caucus"? Elections has caused so much brain rot that some of you honestly deserve to be slapped in the face.ย

Mama who's bragging? Surely being staunchly pro-Palestine is going to secure them a win as I keep being told that's the new singular standard with which we now grade our politicians

Absurd local measures like allowing students whose parents can't afford private school to take algebra in eighth grade?

Ilhan Omar is currently up 20 points in the latest poll against her opponent?

ย

I genuinely can't believe some of you are this rotted both emotionally and morally that you would even think to see racist liberals wanting a black Muslim woman to lose her election because she is a Muslim, not even critically question what they're claiming, and have your first response to thinking AIPAC is somehow successfully primarying progressives for not supporting genocide be "Ah, this will show all those people who are asking Biden to stop advocating for murdering Gazan children!".

ย

I genuinely can't believe we just had this exchange. I'm flabbergasted you would out yourself as being this openly ghoulish that you reveal yourself as actively resenting Palestinians for being killed.ย

ย

Your behavior would only move me to thinking Biden would have to lose because this kind of electorialism would prove detriment to progressive valued evidenced by how far right you've become. Your behavior would suggest Biden must lose to end your collective idea that somehow Dems are entitled to votes no matter how far right they move and to show you that your theory of the world does not work.ย

What, are they not the right kind of black person for you? Majority of the Biden Defense Force I've seen online has been from black women, shame your racism finds their opinions lower to regardย :michael:

Oh my God, the internal poll by Ilhan's opponent IS the one that shows her 20 points ahead.ย :deadbanana4:

I don't think dems are entitled to your vote, I just think you have to moral consistency of a jellyfish. You've hung your hat on the Palestine conflict even though what killed Bidens popularity largely was his *correct and necessary* withdrawal from Afghanistan, but I guess that doesn't neatly fit with a "Biden would personally nuke all Muslims if he could" narrative

Majority of the uncommitted campaign has been young people and is popular within the Arab American community. Shame your racism finds their concern for genocide unimportant.
