Biden can win Georgia, just like in 2020. Warnock kept his seat in 2022 even though members in this thread claimed in 2020 that he was going to lose it in 2022

ย

It's interesting how narratives changed. Biden was supposed oversee a massive horrible recession, but it never materialized. Biden was supposed to be impeached if Republicans won the house, they were unable to. Ukraine was supposed to fall in a day, Biden united NATO and made it strongerย

ย

Biden is in a strong position to win a second term. He can 100% screw it up between now and November, but right now things are looking good for him

I agree (though I'm not personally confident yet about Georgia), what also helps is that trumps legal woes actually seem to be hurting his image (broke Don) and are keeping him from doing any meaningful campaigning. And his gutting of the rnc and rerouting its funds is only going to result in hurting the chances of down ballot republicans ๐Ÿ’€

Polling showed Georgia would be close for Warnock, and it was. It showed Georgia being close for Biden in 2020 as well, but fundamentals were better for Trump purely because of the assumed incumbency advantage. Polling showed that Abrams would lose to Kemp in a landslide as well, and that's exactly what happened.

ย

Expecting Biden to overcome a -8 polling disadvantage seems... odd, and not very connected to the reality of the ground game in Georgia. In 2020 the grassroots was motivated. In 2024, there's been nothing but a feeling of disappointment and anguish and despair over both of these deeply unpopular candidates coming back for a rematch that nobody but the Democrats ever wanted.

I do feel like more is happening that should help Biden in the end. All the measurements we normally go by are in his favor. But I still believe it's going to be a very very close EC race on Biden's side. ย I still believe if Biden wins it's going to be like 270-268. Biden losing AZ, GA, NC, and NV. ย Or if trump wins 312-226. Pulling those numbers by a very few amount of votes in each state. (Like 2016)

You do realize Biden's margin of victory via the Electoral College was even smaller in 2020 than Trump's was in 2016... right??? :toofunny3:

I don't really keep up with polls. Midterm and special elections are more predictive. The results of the 2022 Georgia election are mixed. Warnock won in a tight race but Kemp crushed Abrams. Walker was an awful candidate, but so is Trump, so there are some similarities between that Senate race and the 2024 presidential election.
Kemp was the favorite to win. Most Senate and Gubernatorial rematch elections are won by the incumbent. Georgia will be very close. You may have a better perspective because you live in the state, but the dramatic swing from 2016 to 2020 makes it seem like it will be a close raceย

ย

General election: The thing that hurts Trump the most in 2024 is not his indictments, it is Covid-19. That pandemic is a curse for him that continues to **** him over. Biden's biggest advantage is that the economy (for everyone) is massively better now than it was 4 years ago. Biden didn't do anything special, any president would have had some type of recovery once the vaccine became widespread. Biden is probably one of the luckiest people in American politics.

Republicans pretend that Trump was only president from 2017-2019, but the economy did crumble under his watch in 2020. History doesn't see red or blue. The economy in 2020 was not Trump's fault, but he did and will continue to receive all the blame for itย

Anyway, Joe Biden supports sending childhood cancer patients back into a war zone to their deaths!

ย

"No he doesn't!โ€ -Biden defenders in this thread, probably

ย

Well, this certainly isn't going to get him to stop illegally circumventing Congress to ship weapons to Israel, but okay then!

Welp, Russia and China veto US resolution for ceasefire at the UN

Look more into the details of the "resolution". It didn't actually call for a ceasefire. It was deliberately misleading. It "acknowledges the need" for a [temporary] ceasefire to draw out hostages and allow Israel to continue it's attack later on. Also this resolution does not include the release of any Palestinian political prisoners and hostages, which it absolutely should. China and Russia were right to veto this fraud resolution which was obviously an attempt for the US to take credit for a ceasefire that will eventually come. A new resolution will be introduced soon, so if Biden and America TRULY want a ceasefire, they will not veto it AGAIN for a fourth (or is it fifth now?) time.ย

Yesterday polling had Biden and trump tied in Michigan and Trump ahead in PA. Today polling has Trump ahead in Michigan (although it does have an +-MOE of 6% which seems higher than most polls) and Tied in PA.

ย

hopefully we start getting more of a consensus with polling as time goes on because so far the numbers have been all over the place ๐Ÿ˜‚

So then why would Russia and china veto it? Also here's more proof that dems are moving to the left from where they were but the utopian revolutionistas are gonna tell you how it's the worst thing ever actually

What's so difficult to understand? My original post explains why they vetoed it. In case you can't comprehend properly: Giving America and Biden credit for a fake ceasefire resolution after vetoing a real ceasefire resolution three times shouldn't be acceptable. Let's see what happens at the next ceasefire resolution. We will see how much the dems are "moving to the left".

Here is a thread of countries completely destroying this ceasefire resolution and call it what it is: a sham. They explain in detail what this resolution actually called for, and what was deliberately left out for Israel's ultimate protection. Guyana snapped btw.

You just want Joe Biden to get a PR win from this fake resolution so that heat gets taken off of him for November, even though nothing fundamentally changesย :toofunny3:

Not the Republican house majority about to collapse to Democratic control before the election at this rate :toofunny3:
