GhostBox Posted March 15 Posted March 15 (edited) 23 minutes ago, Bloo said: This is true. But there's also another element to it. Hillary Clinton dedicated a part of her 2016 convention speech to highlight that Trump is too insane to be trusted with the nuclear weapons because he said, "If we have them, why don't we use them?" To her credit, that's a totally valid point of concern because it's such a ridiculous thing to ask. But, then Trump won and he... didn't use the nuclear weapons. The fears of what would happen when Trump gets elected have been end-of-the-world scenarios since before he got elected and that's largely why voters are now saying Trump was "better than expected" [ref]. Trump is not a hypothetical candidate. We've all literally lived through a Trump presidency. So you can't really convince people into believing stakes that they don't already believe. If the Dems just run on "Trump bad" then they will lose. All of us (well, most of us) know this. But, the real kicker is that the stakes that Dems are currently running on aren't new. Trump was always sold as an end-of-Democracy candidate from the start. A simple example is this meme from the 2016 primaries: Hide contents Trump may have not used nuclear weapons but my god he did all he could to break down every aspect of how our government works and what you should and shouldn’t do as president. Even tried to stop the certification of the election results after losing. and guess what he got away with it. He’s going to push the boundaries even more and more. Anyone can see this. He’s literally telling us he will 💀 Edited March 15 by GhostBox

You can think that and it’s totally valid for you too (Trump is terrible), but saying that exhausted statement for the millionth time until you’re blue in the face will not win over people who don’t already believe it. 1

He looks at any nuanced discussion about Biden’s weaknesses as simplified down to “Biden bad, Trump good” and believes that a vote for anything other than Biden, including not voting at all, is a vote for Trump. This isn’t new behavior for him at all. 1 1

Vermillion Posted March 15 Posted March 15 She must know now that her VP chances are dead. Beyond abortion and Corey Lewandowski, I’d love to know how and why….

She met with Trump a few weeks ago. I wonder if he told her that he picked someone else. I’ve been saying for a while now that Trump is too sexist to pick a woman vp. I’m still predicting that it will be a relatively unknown conservative governor from a safe red state. What’s Doug Burgum been up to?

Obama got his first elected office in Illinois by getting his main rival off the ballot by challenging enough petition signatures to get the other candidate below the requirements.

This is important as one was related to the Trump call to the Georgia Secretary of State, which if lost will make the remaining charges more difficult to prosecute. With that appeal, and subsequent Trump appeal if successful, Trump could be president again by the time this actually goes to trial. 1
GhostBox Posted March 15 Posted March 15 The fact the NC gop candidates are so horrible is 💀 like it’s a big swing state and they have nominated the worst of the worst for everything. if I was the Biden campaign I’d camp out there from now till Election Day because it’s very winnable.

No, because I hate Trump and wish wholeheartedly he would d-word (in Minecraft ) just as much as I hate Biden. You, @GhostBox and @Redstreak proved my point though. That saying "both bad" = "Biden bad, Trump good." Disappointing, considering at least one of you in the past could at least accept the reality that both parties are corporate piles of **** that will not ever fight for you. But also, reminder that Biden opened up more drilling permits than any of his predecessors. Edited March 15 by ClashAndBurn
