Men like him live forever out of spiteย

Not when they're in their 80s.

ย

All it takes is a bad pneumonia, fall, stroke etc. and someone can become frail very very fast. Faster than most people can really appreciate.

ย

I mean, let's not forget Covid had him hospitalised.

"Well MODERATE VOTERS..."

ย

The average American moderate is a non-black man who likes Joe Rogan, Bernie Sanders, and Donald Trump because he feels they say what they think, is largely politically disengaged, doesn't personally know more than one queer person in real life, and thinks highly-degreed women, especially upper-middle class women of color, are uppity misandirists who have weaponized DEI and modern HR culture to specifically malign people like him because goods and basic essentials are now more expensive.ย

ย

There is no magical wordplay for centrists to worm their way out of this.ย

ย

The image of Dems that voters have in their head - and which they HATE - is explicitly tied to the very social policies neoliberal Democrats have leveraged to gatekeep power in the party.ย

ย

I have more than 2 brain cells and thus don't agree with many of those moderate views and thus neither I am a "popularist" who thinks Dems can only ever support policies with 70%+ support, but this conversation about what voters hate and don't hate isn't going to benefit the side of cackling female politicians like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. SO STOP TRYING TO HAVE IT.ย

ย

The average moderate voter thinks Harris fucks for tracks and that Theo Von is insightful. IT IS NOT THE POPULISTS ON TG OUSTS.ย :deadbanana4:

This is COVID all over again.ย  Companies will raise prices, blaming the tariffs, all while raking in record profits and issuing fat bonuses to their CEO's and top executives.ย  They'll tell their workers times are tough and they can't afford to give them raises.

ย

Congratulations, America, you played yourself yet again.ย :juanny:

Huge drops in the stock market usually=economic pain. They might not feel it this very instant, but unless something changes, we are in for a very bad summerย

Exactly. ย I think we are on the same page. ย I was just saying how his supporters won't turn today, but as the economic effects hit over the next months is when we need to reassess polling.ย

The fact that he just has blatant power to reck the economy and stock market like this is crazyย

He actually doesn't - if Congress would do its job.

That graphic should be used to address all future price increases on goods.ย :fan:

At this point, he's just flexing his "power" to the world and inflating his ego.

So apparently, Trump decided to golf instead of attending the transfer of the 4 dead American soldiers.ย  Biden, however, was in attendance.

Spoiler

Spoiler

But fr will tariffs impact my dealer's pricing menuย

OT(ish): for the first time ever I'm glad I don't have a 401k, solely because I don't have to watch it sink rn. Also I've been fortunate enough to work for myself since 2018, but I don't necessarily provide an "essential service" so I'm preparing for the worst (losing all my clients because nobody can afford anything) and sucking up my pride and next week I'm starting part time at my old job. It's a remote gig thank god and pays decently, so that's good I guess. I just want to have my foot in the door in case I gotta jump back into it full time. So tragic, I promised myself I'd never go back to it, but I guess I'm glad I had that option, and I feel like a somewhat responsible adult by making this decision.ย
ย

hope everyone does something fun this weekend, I feel like everyone in this thread deserves a lil breaky from the chaos, go get a bevy or some d

It's not a declaration of duty to rightfully point out that American workers were screwed over for generations due to jobs being outsourced, and that past leadership didn't properly use the tools at their disposal to fight back. Targeted tariffs=good. Blanket tariffs on everyone and everything=terrible. Simpleย

Nah, not right now. Now is not the time to put out a video like this. All this does is give credence to what Trump is doing bc the average American cannot parse the difference between blanket and targeted.ย
