Jared Polis's weird obsession with eliminating the penny has him saying it'll save ~300M/year, so we'll almost get a dollar each. Maybe we can save that up for a few decades and use it to get one more F-15EX for "free"

I don't disagree. I think Democratic primary voters are going to just want diet Republicans and then they will lose the general election to the real Republicans (because they're too stupid to realize that when faced with two choices that are more or less the same, they'll go with the more authentic choice in the end). And that will be the general pattern moving forward.
