I mean... not even liberal institutions are willing to call it for what it was. The only ones willing to admit that it was a Nazi salute are... leftists and Black Twitter. A lot of Jewish accounts aren't saying anything and some are even defending it because Elon is pro-Israel.

 

It's just to make the Left look like it's hyperventilating and unserious. And to be completely honest, it's working. The left (and liberals as well) have a credibility problem going back to the breathless Russiagate coverage from Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell leading to absolutely nothing other than two failed partisan impeachments.
