That's okay sis. It's a sad time and tensions are high, I understand. My point was that it was not my beliefs that have changed (it's not left v right but up v down), and I've simply been hearing more Trump voters voice that opinion, even as they foolishly vote for a man who's going to exacerbate that problem. But what leg do I have to stand on when the administration I voted for was telling people they were fine, when they were absolutely not? Covid inflation was out of control, and Trump is undoubtedly going to worsen it with tariffs and mass deportations. But I hope that this continues to bring about class consciousness and gets to the point of what's really going on in the US. Obviously, alot of this is radically optimistic But it's all we got right now. I do have a lot of faith in young people and others working for the betterment of people, but the reality is we do have to unpack alot of these Trumpies' reasons for voting the way they did, because it wasn't just eeking out a win, there was a clear statement made by the people of the US. And if anyone wants to win again, we just have to open our ears and get to the bottom of what people are saying. 1

Again, I'll put it out on the record here that I'm firmly against that. It doesn't matter what we're against anymore. It's happening. There is no acceleration towards anything anymore. We are on the ride. I don't know if you're reading every post in here, but I'll reiterate that I didn't watch Trump's speech and don't intend to. I'll repeat my main points here: 1.) I speak to Trump supporters because I am surrounded by them, and I can act like they're not there, but I'd rather engage with them to see if they want to murder me for being gay or if they just want cheaper prices— it's typically the latter or something that ties into it. 2.) My hope is that people see the failures of the Trump administration when it matters more (2017-2020 was cake besides COVID) and decide that positive change cannot be found in either party as is. 3.) I am still hyper critical of Trump. In fact, when people wanted to give him some political-smarts credit for the unbanning of Tiktok, even if they acknowledged him setting it into motion, just to stick it to Meta and US social media companies, because Tiktok is the anti-Israel app, I knew better because Trump never has anyone's best interests in mind so there was no way Tiktok was coming back as anything less than what Trump would want it to be. I will remain critical of Trump, even when others don't want to be or don't see his schemes, so implying that I support his agenda at all is just a misrepresentation of everything I've been pointing out. You can call it wishful thinking, but I'm gonna do whatever's necessary to keep pushing for something better. Feel feel to bury your heads. Do whatever you need to do, but don't try and paint people into some destructive Trump supporters. I didn't ask for this administration, I fought against this administration, I am now adapting to this administration. If you don't like that, that's on you, but there is no fault on my end. 1
