He doesn't have that luxury this time, and Kemp is also an extremely popular governor. ย Ossoff's main hope of having even the slightest chance of staying in office comes from Kemp pulling a Sununu and not running, leaving the nomination open for Buddy Carter, Mike Collins, or Marjorie Taylor Greene to run for it. And even then, I'm not convinced he'd win. 1

He's the most popular he's ever been. You think he has any reason to listen to these people protesting him?ย He was democratically elected last time, according to the system we have. He won a plurality of votes this time, sure, but that doesn't mean anything when a sizeable portion of the voting population chooses the couch over either of the viable candidates. And a minority of swing voters even chooses who wins when the rest of the country is pretty locked in at 48-48% split, no matter how badly the party in charge has governed.ย ย Which is to say, protesting him last time also meant absolutely nothing. It was performative and only served to make liberals feel good about themselves, as though they were part of some righteous resistance. This time, it's just as performative, but it's also less impactful because resistance liberalism has once and for all proven to be a massive, unmitigated failure. All it gave us in the end was Joe Biden, the most worthless puppet President ever elected to office, and his even more worthless ***** of a VP. And they both turned out to be not just MORE UNPOPULAR, but also MORE HATED than Trump ever was, even after he attempted his failed coup. Edited yesterday at 07:30 PM by ClashAndBurn 3 1
