Bernie's right and right-wing liberals making affluent migrants - who often come from educated and well-off families that contribute to people's suffering within their own borders - be the face of migrant labor has exposed the contradictions in all of this. 

 

Biden and Harris had no issue attacking asylum seekers. 

 

Dems have had no problem letting Republicans chip away at family-based immigration. 

 

Harris spent her campaign promising to copy Trump and bring the hammer down on those who crossed the border and were undocumented workers in low wage fields. 

 

But suddenly they're aghast at fixing highly technical work visas and frame it as racism...even when such improvements like decoupling the ability to stay on the US from a single employer and raising minimum salary requirements to be in-line with industry standards would actually improve the lives of the immigrants on these work visas? Oh.

A bunch of liberal content creators lost a bunch of viewership over them lying to their audiences that Kamala was totally going to sweep the election. The collapse and disillusionment is very real. But instead of course-correcting, what they'll do is check out and go to brunch for three years, then come back when it's time to select their next garbage candidate to run against JD Vance and lose to him in a landslide because they're still gonna be completely out of touch with what general electorates are looking for.

I've been wondering lately, what is the point of section 3 of the 14th amendment if we never get to use it? Here we finally have a reason to use that section against the president elect and no one prominent Democrat had raised the issue of us actually using it to stop him from retaking office later this month. The founding fathers- as flawed as they must be- are probably rolling in their graves right now

But I am curious to see how many people will turn up to Trump's inauguration event. That should tell us something about how enthusiastic people really are about his second term. You know the crowd size will affect his mood that day.

I'm following rules now and bunching tweets to avoid a WP until the forum wipe, which I never heard from HQ on as to whether Invision spoke to the mods.

 

I don't know how I do it, honestly. For my mental health I'm only investing emotionally in policy that'll affect me directly while still tracking the rest - it's the only formula working for me for now but probably won't last long.

 

I visited Scottsdale, Arizona to appease my cousin with her relatives visit (on their dime) for Christmas and between the Waymos and endless strip malls it's like late-stage capitalism on crack - seeing as the Colorado River's expected to go dry in our lifetime all of Phoenix is ****ed so good luck I guess?
