If he had the name recognition of Rahm Emanuel, I'd be maybe a bit more concerned. I'll expect someone who is also just the right kind of Zionazi who would also be well-known to donors and a big middle finger to leftists.

Β

Pete Buttigieg would be a prime candidate now if he wanted it. He ran back in 2017 against Tom Perez and Keith Ellison when he had zero name recognition after all.

The only thing that norms, institutions, and the establishment deserve is a sledgehammer

Β

This is why President JD Vance will be elected with a landslide mandate in 2028.

First Jesse Water's mom and now this, when even conservative mothers know when their sons suck.

Does anyone else have a bad feeling about next year? Like it's gonna be way worse than we could even picture? I just can't shake this feeling there's worse coming than project 2025, like that's just scratching the surface.Β

It's about to get really bad...Β  Trump just announced he's firing the current FBI director and replacing him with Kash Patel, a loyalist, who has already stated he plans to carry out the "political retribution" that Trump spoke of all throughout his campaign.Β

This is why I do not understand why everyone is arguing over 2028. We aren't getting that far politically.Β

Only thing worse than Kash Patel at this point is probably RFK in terms of tangible damage.

Tulsi Gabbard becoming DNI leading to allies not sharing intelligence with us and leading to another 9/11 could be up there though

I don't want him to sound like a DC insider. In fact, I genuinely don't care about charisma as a whole, but others do. They want someone they find charming.

Trump sounds absolutely nothing like a standard politician and a lot of people vote for him because of it. I just do not think this matters. Policy should be the number 1 guiding light. Do they have good, popular policy ideas? After that, we need to care about compelling and dynamic they can be when discussing it. The technocratic political wonkery the Democratic Party tends to favor is exciting to only its more partisan base of supporters.

People were saying the exact same thing in 2016 when Trump won.

Β

Trump is going to cause serious damage, but acting like it's a sure thing that all elections will cease to existΒ is... (excessively) presumptive. We literally have a precedent of how this administration will look like.

Except this time around he has no guard rails and his isn't going in blind with zero political experience. He hit several walls right up to Mike pence on January 6th. This time we have none of that to stop him. The 2016 dramatics was fear mongering this but time however, with a clear plan laid out in project 2025, I don't think it's dramatics. I think we will see a theocracy ushered in.Β

Project 2025 is the same plan the Republicans have been working towards for decades.

Β

Let's see what happens. Stay alert, but pretending it is a sure thing we will have a theocracy in 4 years is, again, presumptive.
