The conspiracy theorist in me believes this so much. Like Kamala realistically never had a chance and essentially Trump was supposedย to win in order to destabilizing the country. Elon Musk, the wealthiest man in the world, basically running his campaign only sharpens this point for me. It definitely gives "New World Order" vibes.

It's funny you say she never had a chance, considering her campaign was lying to her donors the entire time

We knew what the result was going to be for months. Since August. People here just refused to drink anything other than the Kamala Kool-Aid and got completely blindsided when the real answer was there the whole time.

Genuine question: is it overreacting to leave the country at this point? I'm terrified.ย

Honestly no. If I could afford it I'd have left November 7th. I started saving last year but had a few set backs and didn't quite make it. So I'm gonna lay low and stay quiet for 4 years and hope the election process holds. It won'tย :deadbanana2::jonny5:

I been terrified. I started counseling and everything went Nov 21 go back Dec 4. My family thinks im being overdramatic and i cant talk about politics with them anymore. If i had the funds i would of been left.ย  I just dont know how bad its gonna be this time.

I just told my phone banking and poll working friends I won't be back in for anymore election seasons. Seeing my already maroon area swing 10 points to the right and 8 million democrats sit this one out I've decided volunteering is a total waste of my time and judging by the arguing on here about what direction the party needs to go in we are gonna lose in a landslide in 2028 again because the ones who aren't 100% happy are gonna sit home again. And I get that Kamala wasn't a fantastic candidate, but If the dangers Donald Trump weren't enough to sway people and the price of eggs and gas did, me describing policies to voters isn't going to either. And if we make it to a 2028 election it's getting 10 minutes of my time max. If there's a line of less than 10 minutes I'll go vote but if not I am setting it out like everyone else because if nobody else gives a **** then why should I? Why should I spend 3 months giving my spare time when it makes absolutely zero difference in the end. In my area it actually did harm. ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

@ATRL Moderation Teamย Can we please add a care emoji reaction? carehq.png Perfect example is for a post like this.

ย

It's been liked multiple times but that's probably not an accurate reaction, since people aren't 'liking' the content but they're expressing care. And woohoo, we're proud of you for being out there on the ground trying to make a positive change.

He should just make a new party and progressives in congress should join him. Right now is the best time. Trump is already in power so there is literally nothing to lose

ย

A party that believes in the human rights of immigrants, transgender rights,ย the working class people and anti zionism:heart:

So people have been looking into Trump's tariffs and how it would affect the car manufacturers. Guess which one is not gonna be affected as much? ******* Tesla. :rip:

The ******* corruption is right in front of our eyes. This whole incoming tariff crisis is entirely man-made and a huge cash grab for the 1%.

Genuinely wondering where the cultural spaces go from here. The Young Turks is a flailing joke after Ana decided to go TERF and blame that on a sexual assault (?) and The Majority Report is too polite.

ย

Seeing Pod Save getย wreckedย the last week I genuinely wonder how Jon Lovett feels about Favreau's fights with all the pundits at the moment.

ย

Because there's some small part of me that feels like Lovett's gone much further left at this point but was going through too much mental health stuff at the time Favreau came to him to start his own format and he decided to hitch a ride.

ย

Many progressives always despised the Bernie Bro label which I'm now seeing the thinkpieces come to easy conclusions about with id over economy alienating the very young white men people are now obsessing over.

ย

But it gets to my problem with Chapo Trap House more broadly, which is that I could never picture them being successful once Bernie was out of the picture. Their success was never policy based, it was always as a cult of personality around Bernie.

The MAGAs in the replies thinking it's because Fox has proven itself to be so accurate and reliable compared to the other networks. I really hate this timeline we're inย :ace:
