The fact that far leftists think that running a more progressive campaign would help Kamala win.... in AMERICA :deadbanana2: The delusion is astounding. They truly live in their little social media bubble, boosted by the delusions of creators such as Hasan Piker.

A balance has to be struck in giving progressive policy that inspires enough of the base to turn-out while not turning off enough moderates in the process.

I don't buy your framing as the more existential problem in this country is the millions that don't vote at all, many of which have been studied and actually support policy that more so-called "progressive" candidates have offered.

What's blocking that and blurring that turnout currently is a combination of effective culture wars, disinformation, current party incentives post-Citizen United and current electoral incentives with the Electoral College.

Let them burn the country to ground so we can rebuild it in our vision.

:suburban:

It's fine, I had similar sentiment after seeing the Pew Research poll that slightly over half of Americans wants Trump to go through with his plans/policies.

Of course many don't really know them.

Yeah, I'm not sure what imaginary world they live in, but it's apparent that this isn't what people are after right now, I mean for the first time in a long time, a democrat didn't even win the popular vote :rip:

And people are STILL pushing 100 year old Bernie, who is absolute tone deaf, and even more repetitive than Kamala is wild to me - he ran 2x, and it didn't work out.  What the party needs unfortunately is a younger man who appeals to the democratic base, and can relate to those younger male Gen Z voters.  The US is still not ready for a female president.  If you don't think sex had something to do with this result, you're wrong.  A country that pushed Donald Trump's horrible rhetoric ahead in even the popular vote doesn't want a woman.

Because the most lethal fighting force in the world, more bombs to Gaza, not separating from Biden on the View, dancing with Liz Cheney and not raising the federal minimum wage to 15$ in 2030 which isn't even progressive really worked out so well.

Trust me, the results would be SO much worse if she did what yall asked. ☠️

Thank you for speaking common sense.

Kamala did the best she could from this dire situation. Now we wait for Trump to make a huge mess in the next four years and then Gavin Newsom is coming in 2028 💙

I agree about the culture wars and media disinformation.

One of my friends is a huge Bernie Sister and she is STILL mad about 2016. Because she started watching Joe Rogan back when he was a Bernie Bro, she still watches him and he slowly brainwashed her into accepting Kamala as this arch nemesis that is somehow worse than Trump.

Now that the election is over and the payola stopped, she is shocked by Trump's cabinet picks. :rip:

This is why I always say that the far left and extreme right go hand in hand together in sabotaging the Democrats.

The American electorate wanted change, not centrist verbatim

Doesn't have to be ultra progressive in policy, but the messaging had to be populist & challenging.

But it's ironic you accuse someone of living in a bubble, but then endorse Gavin Newsom to run for president.  You better hope Trump crashes the economy because that's embarrassing if that's your top choice:bibliahh:

Something tells me whayever.makes you think Bernie is tone deaf is the same race reductionism that caused Dems to lose in the first place.

That would mostly be Biden who chose to rerun, despite the fact he had absolutely no sauce left and couldn't sell whatever his campaign did to help people, and reluctantly stayed in the race till almost August.

The working class everyday person rejected your ticket, not this fake leftist narrative:sorry:

Yup. And now they got a literal nazi elected.

Hope the morality olympics were worth the concentration camps Trump's already planning. :deadbanana2: I wonder if their buddies from Palestine will help them back and protest Trump's nazi policies.

We know you're a Zionist bot most concerned with America aiding Israel in genociding Palestinians cause not even Biden's most dedicated supporters in here believe this.

Some of those liberals in particular were sucking up to Biden even though it was common sense he would lose to Trump, and are now trying gaslight people that the far left helped elect Trump

Both Biden and Trump equally support Israel, so you're making zero sense.

You and your buddies sabotaged and picketed Kamala's rallies on Palestine issues and never picketed Trump. How peculiar?

Anwway. As I said, enjoy Project 2025. :deadbanana2: The right is more united than ever and it's no surprise they are winning.

I said he would have won if the Left didn't sabotage him at every corner.

The moment he dropped, they started sabotaging Kamala.

Meanwhile, the entire right united behind Trump. The left-democrat spectrum needs to learn to put their differences and moral absolutism aside in order to win.

Still wouldn't have made a difference.

The enthusiasm gap in the Dem base is because the majority of them saw him as a cadaver.

You can whine about the Dem base not willing to hold their nose and double standards that Trump isn't held to and Biden is, but we have to separate branding first from policy.

Biden got cocky and thought that 2022 Dobbs anger would last until 2024 and broke his promise not to run again.

I'm not going to repeat myself beyond this as to the other reasoning on her loss that I've already unpacked extensively here but the problem is not the Dem base. The problem was the DNC and incumbency during ongoing inflation.

With tens of thousands dead in Gaza, the base isn't buying your framing on moral absolutism either.

The problem with a lot of WWC male union members turning to Trump is cultural as is Latino men generally. The problem with the majority of the base not turning at all is due to a combination of domestic policy economically and gaslighting of the American public as to our foreign policy.

Shaming and settling for the lesser of two evils no longer works.

Run on an actual opposition platform, explicitly tell people why you think 40,000+ dead women and children with our bombs is proper collateral in Gaza and why Israel as a project is worth saving when Netanyahu doesn't believe in a two-state solution, why immigration reform has been stalled for 40 years and who's stalling it, who is preventing a national minimum wage increase and why, who is preventing universal healthcare implementation and why, and that trans youth are going to continue going to be born and wanting hormone care prior to puberty which has nothing to do with your current economic peril.
