I agree with RFK on the food stuff. There are too many additives in our foods that aren't good for us compared to other countries.ย
ย

but besides that every other view he holds is disgusting. He should be no where near leading anything.ย

Yet if we implemented the kinds of restrictions Europe has on their food in America, you can bet that another Jan 6th will happenย

I don't think most of the Dems that aren't in California or her district would have a problem with Nancy running again honestly, but it's all of the national media appearances that are reflecting poorly. :coffee2:ย

Now why is Fox News doing wall to wall coverage of the trial of the man who killed Laken Riley? :deadbanana:ย

And this is why the mass migration to BlueSky will do absolutely nothing.

Even The View spreading this nonsense about "American food makes people sicker and die earlier because of additives unlike Europe" :biblio:

But what's the truth there? I've seen people who travel back and forth between Europe and US say that they tend to gain weight when in the States. If it's not because of the additives, maybe the portion sizes then.

I do think there needs to be some regulations on foods like with the dyes and the steroids they pump into chickens.ย

I favor higher food quality as well.

But do these people understand that food prices will rise if we implement more organic requirements?ย

...Or it could be a sign that yall live alongside a deeply sick, reactionary electorate that consistently makes choices based on misinformation, fearmongering, and ~vibes~. That the Democrats consistently fight on ground tilted towards Republicans such that their candidates must vastly outperform in order to win, because the American mindset is fundamentally individualist and conservative. All depends on how you spin things

ย

I hope your cynicism about the party is not correct, there will be some who push for Shapiro, but the progressive energy of the 2020 primary can make a comeback too. Just hopefully smarter than Bernie and Warren were then

Why I don't believe my cynicism is unjustified.

ย

ย

If Rahm Emanuel wins DNC chairmanshipโ€ฆ that's kind of the first sign of how terrible things are going to be with the Democratic Party's chosen trajectory.

His term is scary. He wants to cut Medicaid what is going to happen to those 70 million people on it. Cancer patients? HIV? Diabetes. Are people just going to die off?

It's a lot of reasons. Mainly pure diet and lifestyle choices. Using avocado oil instead of seed oilย ain't gonna mean jack sh*t if you're using it to make double fried bacon smashburgers on a stick.ย

Food will be more expensive AND need to be repurchased more often if it has fewer preservatives

I also find it concerning how it resonates with so many on the left and the middle of the political spectrum. I rolled my eyes watching Sara Haines spout it on The View today.

ย

There's no evidence that legal food additives shorten the average lifespan to a point where it's consequential. If they did, they wouldn't be legal. Meanwhile, almost every other RFK stance (promoting vaccine hesitancy,ย  removing fluoride in water, treating infectious diseases less seriously etc.) will shorten the average American lifespan and worsen the gap with Europe that everyone seems so obsessed about.

ย

It's also funny how these people seem to care about the gap between Americans and Europe, but never bring up the fact that lifespan gaps between races and classes in America are even worse. The answer to their problem is by enacting policies that help vulnerable people live longer. But I guess that doesn't fit their narrative.

Between this, tariffs, the economic outcome of mass deportations, eroding human rights, and the clown show this administration is bound to be... this country boutta be in shambles in 1.5-2 years. And I will KEEP my heel firmly planted on every Trump supporter's neck I know and cutely remind them at every turn.ย
